You’re my favorite 3D RU-vidr! Always great information presented in an easy to understand way. Thanks! Any chance you’d make a tutorial showing how to create a band in three sections? I need to make a ring approximately 320mm in diameter, which is too large for my build plate. I would need to build it in three sections, each the same size adding up to exactly 320mm. It would need some king of way to snap them together like a puzzle. Just trying to glue them together isn’t strong enough (It needs to be somewhat structural). Therefore the ring would need to have some thickness to it. Maybe 8mm X 5mm. Or 7mm X 7mm. Something along those lines. Only the ring diameter measurement is crucial.
Thank you. I am anxious to use them in the classroom. Usually after I do that I end up making a V2 of the vid as I see where the kiddos struggle. So far mine have been printing great.
Thanks @craftingwithjean5599 for the note! 👍 Make sure you check out the bonus video... There are some letters that did not fit the pattern. I also found telling a classroom to stick to initials was smart. Too many letters resulted in more opportunities for mistakes.
This is my first project and I really shouldn't have tried it, I've been trying this for 2 days now LOL. I did perfect up until the egg shapes were to go onto the cylinder. LOL!
Cool. Before making something to print, I recommend building some things for fun. This house is a great skill builder. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fcHRIhJnIEo.html If you are having fun there are extension videos to keep you learning. Feel free to reach out if you are ever hunting for lessons.
Thank you so much!!!! Can you pls tell how can we use curvy letters for making articulated keychain. And how can we make a box which can be opened and closed.
I do not have a curvy letter vid... Bringing in the letters one a time would be a bit time consuming... If you did not mind that step, here is how to get curvy letters into Tinkercad. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a1WRS0CwbI8.html That Canva trick... just one letter of your word at a time.
Hi mike, great instruction video. I just started trying to learn tinkercad. my niece keeps asking me to 3D print her name so i can install LED lights in her name so it lights up. Have you ever made anything like that?
Thanks Manny. I have not made a name with lights in it. Are you thinking to print it white and having a LED in each letter? Do you play with Ardino's or anything?
Haha I thought, ‘hey this looks easy enough’ …. An hour later I’m moving on to one of your simpler name keychains. I will come back to this another time though 😅 I’m halfway through the name ‘ZIDANE’
I have noticed that different names have different stress levels. Please feel free to share feedback. Some of the coolest stuff I create is on V2 or V3... Learning what does and does not make sense to users is priceless.
I agree that this is not really a beginner video. I need to rebuild that video one of these days to see if I can make it more user friendly. There is a 2nd video that helps with letters that have different shapes too. It is listed in the cards.
@@HLModTech no friend, I don't have a tutorial, I wanted to do it or try it in freecad but there is no freecad tutorial that shows that. That's why I told you that if you could make one but in freecad
