This story is heartwarming. If we would manage to develop the same amount of patience for damaged humans (which we don’t), the world would be a better place. That’s what I always think when I watch videos like that. Humans can be very noble.

Thank God you were patient and let puppy face Boo work at his own pace. Many people would have given up and returned him. We don't know what an animal has been through prior to the shelter. That may be a good thing. Thank-you for rescuing this cute & funny guy.

That's lovely. We rescue abandoned dogs in Andalucia, Spain. So many we find do not know love. It takes time, just like this wonderful video shows. But when we bring a dog out of its shell it is worth all the effort. And then, when they go to their forever home and we receive photos , we just want to cry with joy.

I love your story and thank you for sharing. What a magnificent puppy, gorgeous 😍 eyes that speak stories of his life. It is very sad what these forgotten dogs go thru trying to set aside the fear and terror they experienced in their short life. My favorite words you stated were PATIENCE. That Boo taught you, and you both learned from him also the patience within your own lives. They come into our lives for a reason. Your BELLY was telling you, Boo needs you as you both needed him. That's very sweet. He is literally a puppy until he's a year & a half old. He's quite beautiful & he could not have been more traumatized by his previous environment. I am so happy that you went w/ your gut & took him out of that terrible situation. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

wow...one of the best rescues I've seen. This was a complete rescue. The man and dog had the same eyes, expression, look and lanky build and they are probably more alike in many other ways too. Just from what I saw they shared the same positive attributes of patience, intelligence/curiosity, compassion, forgiveness and hope. I really appreciate that this man and his wife "followed" their instincts as did the dog and listed the benefits they received in their "toil". They really show that there are kind people and animals in this world worthy of the blessing of life. Congratulations and may you ever be the person your dog thinks you are :)
