The kitty that’s beside me right now was exactly like this. She was given to a cat rescue by the female owner because her husband would abuse the cat. The first time she ever jumped up on my bed I knew we had made a big step. Going on eight years now.she’s a great kitty
I had a bookshop in Ohio wherein shelter cats were fostered and then adopted by customers. More than 50 were adopted from my shop over the years. I then wrote a series of novels about the experience (Shelve Under C: A Tale of Used Books and Cats is the first) to encourage other shops to look into fostering dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. The business that took over my location continued to foster, thankfully.
I love love love the patience of the hooman and then sending in reinfuurcement with the other cat shows grey everything is okay 👍🏾 then the real 50 minus 49 shades of grey comes out and it's all love from there. Great job you two grey kitty has the right attitude God created him to have ❤❤👍🏾👍🏾
Honestly, if they're shy the best thing to do is ignore them. They will eat, drink, etc without you watching. After a while the cat won't see you as a possible threat but a curiosity. Then when they approach you let them make the first move.
Im so happy they’re not going to let them be separated. It’s always sad when a foster animal becomes close to someone and has to be ripped apart from them. It feels almost antithetical to their betterment.
I spent a year trying to gain the trust of a feral cat. She was deathly shy of people and it took daily work for months and months, but then one day... actually the day before she had kittens, she walked over and plopped her chubby butt down on my foot and let me start petting her. I was so happy with this since it meant she would let me help her with her babies, which she did. She eventually decided she wanted to live inside the house in my room. She brought her kittens to the front door one night, it was adorable, so of course I let them in. It is so rewarding to finally get a cat to trust you, Once she accepted me, she became the sweetest, most affectionate cat. At least 5 times a day she would bug me until I rolled my chair over to my bed so she could rub against my face for a couple minutes. I miss her so much. I wanted to keep her so badly but I couldn't. Kind of broke my heart but fortunately she was adopted with the other cat I was fostering so she wasn't completely alone in a new place. I miss you so much Missy.
@@m.c.8249It's not automatically non-binary. They/Them can be used when talking about someone non-binary but by default when you don't know the gender you use They when talking about it. Writing or constantly saying "He or She" when talking about an animal would be right but tiring, it's faster to use They.
don't know why nothing makes me cry but these do. My heart melts knowing that what once was alone and lonely wonderful creature finally finds a loving home that can appreciate him, and he even gets a sibling that cares. That is so beautiful, if we all have that even us humans, there would be no reason to be angry or be bad, we'd all find redemption.
What an awesome foster mom! Respecting grey's space, introducing him to treats and pets at a respectful distance, letting him come to her at his own pace, loving him with endless patience.
She's a GREAT foster mommy!! She did EVERYTHING the right way, IN SERVICE OF THE NEEDS OF MR. KITTY, SIR GREY - NOT HER OWN NEEDS, DESIRES, OR EGO!! Brava Humanitarian!! Brava Heroine!!👏🏼💖😻 You are a jewel amongst people, a gem of exquisite beauty (internal and external), inordinate worth, and rock hard internal strength, moral character/moral fortitude. May You Prosper in This Special, Most Admirable Work You Do, and in All Your Endeavours...!!! GOD BLESS!!❤
0:10 is how my stray earned her name Joplin. She'd been following my dog home for the past 3months but never came into the apt. It was going to drop into the 40s so my neighbor and I finally trapped her and brought the crate inside. It's been 18months now and she's only now coming up onto my lap for scritchings
Love at first sight INDEED !!! It soothes my heart knowing that the kitties were able to find peace and comfort in each others arms !!! Dramatic but true .❤🐱❤🐾❤
Even the wildest cats wants to be around someone. Cats do not like to be alone. They need company. In safe, loving and trusting environment they are so affectionate towards people and other animals. They sometimes just needs time and patience❤ Oh and the creamy treats are the best! Cats cannot resist!😂
This woman is remarkable! I learned so much from her in under four minutes. I'm really happy for the two love birds (cats); their bond is truly amazing. It killed me when Grey was alone and crying. Here's to Jen, the best cat whisperer I've ever seen!
OH NO bad Idea!!! Idk how long you've had Grey but he needs to stay w/you & other kitty! Grey was abused, you brought him back to what a cat should be like, normal playful, loving & even chatty! 😂 That would definitely be a huge mistake on your part to let him go, he feels safe w/you & no one else! I rescued my baby boy & never gave him up because I never had a cat b4, I grew up w/dogs....I changed his life life for the better & he changed mine 😁🐱 We're pleading w/you because we know what'll happen!!
Best story I've seen!!!...you are so good with both cats...Be nice to just keep them both... whatever happens... please don't let them ever be separated..they both are each other's soul mate!! 🐈🐈 💖💖🧸🧸💖💖🧸🧸💖💖
Grey and Philly are too adorable together. Everyone comments that Grey needed Philly, but I think Philly needed Grey too. They both look so happy and overjoyed that they think they are already in their forever home. My heart breaks they will have to face another change, but really hoping their forever home will be the most loving place of all.
Only recently scientifically studying cats. All 17 forces much more social yet not domesticated either. Not prides, but even not mating, even non-siblings neighbouring each other other routinely visit each other. Another myth, they prefer women, untrue, turns out they prefer masculine men. Not just physical reasons, warmer, furrier, stronger heart beat, breathing, only mush no scents, but emotionally, turns out all cats turned off by emotions. 6th sense they very sensitive to non verbal cues. Families actually remain together through later litter in wild, learn facts of life. Sadly political correctness has blocked publishing and production of first scientist studies.
Jen, you must keep them! They’re bonded to you and to each other. Look at all the milestones Gray achieved ! O please reconsider. You did such a great job! ❤
i can't decide what's more beautiful - foster mom for her big heart and loving soul, grey for his braveness and trust or the instant and close bond the two boys found in eachother. i'm so happy grey and foster mom crossed paths ❤
Cats Are Just Like That!! Grey Is That Kind Of Kitty!! Now That He Has A Furry Friend?? Grey Has Came Into His Own Self!! Philly Pokey Was The Answer!! Good To See 2 Buddies Bond!!❤😊
The tuxedo looks like my 9 yr old boy. Foster mom is such a great human. Thank you so much for being patient and open-minded. 🙏🙏 Love this kind of story. Someday I want to foster 🧡🐾
