TERRIFIER 3 (2024) - Movie Review

There we some people that walked out during my screening. I think what some of us major horror fans sometimes forget is that not everyone is like us. It's October, so you have a bunch of people that don't follow horror suddenly saying, "It's Halloween time! Let's go watch a horror movie!" Then they go into Terrifier 3 blind and are shocked with what they saw and walked out. So I know for a fact there are some walkouts and my guess is it is those people that "just wanted to watch a scary movie" because it's Halloween season and Terrifier 3 smacked them in the face.

This franchise is just bonkers, crazy, in a good way. Art might be the most charismatic slasher villain of all time, and that says a lot with him never saying a word.

Jeremy's review literally had me laughing out of my chair.

It definitely didn’t have what made part 2 so good. Part 1 is my favorite, thus far, with part 2 not far behind. 3 was a good flick, just not the favorite I was hoping for. I love Christmas slashers. SNDN is my favorite and appreciated all the nods to it…even the people protesting it. 😂

I also thought it was a big step down from 2. I loved the Clint Howard/Daniel Roebuck scene, though. My ranking: 2, 1, 3.

Bro the scene with the mice towards the end was just absolutely insane

My friend saw it last night, he told me that it reminded him of Jurassic Park 2. In that, it's well made but the magic is gone.

I liked it overall. I think my expectations for how gory it would be were a little too high and everyone saying how controversial the opening was i just didn’t get that. Pretty sure all the stories of fainting and puking is BS

Me and my GF had a blast with this movie. Such good goofy fun and I really dig the practical effects, such dedication to the “art” of this film. Everything put together along with its score, is to me a homage to the Italian, video nasties horror movies. It’s pure grind house. And I actually really liked the story here, it’s simple and not too complicated ether and I really liked Sienna as well. Hot but ruthless, a “angel warrior” as she’s portrayed here. I’m guessing with the fourth film we could get more if the fantasy here, we could see this hellish dimension where we may see where Art came from. More monsters maybe? I really digged the fantasy horror here, I like the idea of a ruthless demon on the lose. The concept of good vs evil, it’s simple and that’s all I need in horror. I know what it was and I got what I expected. I don’t need overcomplicated crap or any filler on the characters “feelings” it’s cringe I find now with horror, just show me instead of telling me how you feel. Express that and in horror, it works well.

I feel ya with the Pennywise thing. Old Pennywise is so much scarier because he wasn't initially scary-looking. I got over my fear of clowns in around 4th grade and have a love for the art of clowning. Tbh, I for the longest time despised horror clowns because it made people afraid of them, but eventually grew to love them and circus clowns alike. The fact that he looked like a normal circus clown and then turned evil-looking was what made him scarier

I'm glad I stumbled upon this, I was starting to think it was just me thinking this movie was kinda whatever. I almost walked out during the final scene because I didn't really care how it ended one way or the other. I'm kinda bummed cause I loved the first one but I think this series has run its course for me

I haven’t seen this one, and idk if I ever will get around to it. Maybe. Probably at least once at some point. I love the concept of Art yet not much for the movies. However, in the idea of holidays, I’d enjoy seeing what Art the Clown could do with Easter. Wow!

I thought it was fun, but part 2 is still my favorite. I would love another nightmare sequence like in 2. This’ll be a fun one to throw on every once in awhile like Halloween kills is, but hoping they put more story in part 4

Agree with your comment about Art taking a backseat in the 3rd act. Overall had a great time & hope the hell/underworld elements are handled well for the 4th movie. Slightly nervous about that.

I love horror movies but terrifier is just sadistic and over the top. Story isn't all that interesting. IMO I miss slashers being popular

To me Terrifier 3 feels more like a filler movie that gives a little more questions and things to speculate on, but is more so just more Terrifier with a different theme. I loved the movie, but I agree that the story was executed better in 2. I think this movie has its place in the franchise and will not be overshadowed by 2 simply because it is christmas themed(I think that was the point). 4 has already been confirmed and will almost certainly expand on the story and answer more questions. If they were to keep doing them the exact same way it would get old and the franchise would suffer, but having a filler movie in the middle that gives us more killing, a little more lore, and a different theme was a good call IMO. My favorite part was the ending with the chainsaw fight I thought that was amazing.

I respectfully disagree. I loved how they went more into the lore of Art and with Sienna and her father. I want part 4 now

TERRIFIER III Is This Year's Terminator II!

I really enjoyed the film but they didn’t advance the story at all. We didn’t learn anything new about the sword, her dad drawings, etc. Now we need to see 4 to hopefully make it all make sense.

I wish they would’ve had Brad bags where I saw it. Would’ve been a cool keepsake. I agree walking out sure the other stuff is just hyping up the movie. Just remember Piz it’s only a movie, only a movie. I do agree I liked part 2 more. I’m hoping we get a longer cut in blu ray. Seems like there was more to the final act that was cut for time restraints.

I don’t LIKE Art the Clown, but I appreciate the performance. Just because you appreciate the work that goes into bringing a character to life doesn’t necessarily mean you like the character. Similar to how I don’t like Freddy Krueger, but I appreciate Robert Englund’s performance and the incredible makeup effects.

I enjoyed it for just the balls of Damian Leone to go so far. The showrt kill was awesome! The rat almost got me! I seriously did feel acid in my throat. The opening bedroom kill was disturbing with the wife rubbing her hand in the blood not knowing it's blood.

My husband and I went yesterday to see it, and omg it was so good! Definitely more gory lol 🤣🤣

Actually believe it or not it's not necessary marketing hype in the sense that it's actually happening. There are actually people that are throwing up I didn't see it. I was informed by from other RU-vidrs that went to see the movie. Now I guess one could say the capitalized on that fact which could be marketing.

TERRIFIER III Is Extravaganza!

I enjoyed Terrifier 3 quite a bit although I didn't think that it was quite as tightly plotted as part 2.

I hope they don't make endless sequels like the Saw movies.

Loved every minute of this movie, UNTIL Art started smashing Siennas hands. That is when it became too far fetched. She had no problem fighting and holding that sword. No problem with a final girl, but at least make it a little bit real. Other than that, movie was awesome. Kill scenes were great, especially the Aunt's. That is just about the most awesome kill scene I have ever seen!! 👍👍👍

Why does people walk out makes no sense if they r horror fans I loved terrifier 3

I am torn on the Terrifier series. I personally think it’s gore for it’s own sake. Insulting really, but I acknowledge that Art the clown is in the pantheon of great horror killers. The films are a hit and the Terrifier series is the Halloween of this day and age. I respect that.

Did you watch all hallows eve? The magical aspects make more sense if you have.

The demon possession angle was there from the start. It was such a fun movie. Wow- a really odd take from you. Art taking a second place was akin to Vader being second fiddle to the Emperor. Very entertaining and enjoyable film that was obviously much slicker and higher quality than 1 and even 2. I love 2 as well, but this is the best of them so far…., David Howard Thorton’s performance was the best.

My favorite movie of the year so far.

I enjoyed T1 & T2 but unfortunately T3 let me down a lot. I don’t like the supernatural clunky lore. They also didn’t bring back the score at all. I thought Art had what it takes to go the long haul but I think he might be a one trick pony I fear.

Gonna go see it tonight. But if Jeremy loves Terrifier im afraid youll be watching all of them no matter how many of them come out 😂

I loved the mall part

Didn’t get into this series. Saw 1 & 2. I just didn’t feel entertained. I like to be entertained and I feel it’s just too far to be called entertaining to me. I do love the practical effect aspect tho-much respect there.

The final act is all TCM dinner table scene. And I felt that this movie was stronger than part 2 in storytelling as well as pace. Part 2 was too long and meandered and wasn’t as funny as this one.

I did not enjoy Terrifier 3 the whole posession super natural stuff was really lame and like you said in your review you were bored at times. I was also bored at times with this movie, I think they have painted themselves into a corner with these movies where people just want gorfests so they have a lack of story with a lot of unnecessary scenes which just gets old fast imo. Damien Leone really should look into hiring a writer because he is not a good writer.

This is the most negative review of 3 I've seen. I'm surprised. I loved it. My movie theater experience was almost sold out and everyone loved it.

This film is another cracking blood fest of a movie.

I got a side with Jeremy here it was awesome I don't go see a terrifier movie and hope that the story and the dialogue is amazing these are just as they need to be and we have a new amazing Christmas horror movie for the ages art for president

Goriest movie have i ever seen.. prove me wrong with something worse

Someone recently put forth a theory I find intriguing, and that is Leone's intent is that Art is the personification of capitalism, gleefully destroying people's lives with a wicked smile on his face. And thinking about that theory while watching the film today, it does kind of make sense. Certainly, he's not some "ordinary" demon, like say The Creeper (from Jeeper's Creepers), who seem motivated soley by mindless viciousness. It does seem like there's something far more sinister than that. And American capitalism, at least, is pretty f'ing sinister.

Yeah part 3 made absolutely no sense total waste of time it did not compare to part 2

I just can't with this series. To me its just edgy for the sake of being edgy and I just have no interest in watching them.

This movie was ass…except for that new blonde chick Mia who is drop dead gorgeous.
