I’ve been watching all the other talk show hosts with animal visitors, David, Johnny, Jimmy and the other Jimmy. They ALL interrupt. Not seen Ellen with animals, don’t know if she does.
I hate how whenever he brings out an animal Jimmy is like "How do you know it won't attack us?!?", like dude, Dave literally works with these animals day to day... if there's anyone who knows anything, it's him...
I can’t believe he’s scared of literally every animal they bring out except for the piglets. I would feel so honoured if I could hold animals like these. I mean, he was even slightly nervous of the hedgehogs. I mean it’s a hedgehog for crying out loud. It’s literally one of the most innocent creatures on this planet. And I can testify to that, I’m British. We’re basically the home of the hedgehog. Well, ‘were’, seeing as we only have 5% of the population left.😢🤧
Daniel Whyatt you should visit the swedish island Gotland. Thier province animal is the hedgehog. For a good reason, there was a hedgehog family living in the backyard while i was there and they were out almost always They also have a form of wild rabbit there that is really cute
I'm saddened you can't really cuddle with hedgies. They're so CUTE! I had a friend who had one and when she nuzzled up on my leg, those quills were such uncomfortable sensation and I was wearing jeans too😂😭
I used to get close enough to the ones at the USAA campus and they didn't smell, but they did keep the property very clean of any roadkill that was hurt. We used to call them the unofficial USAA mascot because we had so many on campus. Truly beautiful creatures and glad the company didn't try to exterminate the animals on campus which has a ton of possums, skunks, raccoons and white tail deer (Texas campus).

I’ve noticed all animal experts across all types of the talk show platforms put up with being interrupted and constant jokes from the host because you can tell they’re genuinely passionate about their cause. Props to them.
Will Lupold yeah the comments above are why and also probably because they dont want to stress the animals out too much. If theyre on the stage for too long with a loud crowd of people then they will definitely get stressed

As an entertainment show, I always questioned the authenticity of Jimmy's fear of exotic animals, but this guy's hand was literally SHAKING at 2:21 and that's all the convincing it took for me
Its hard for people who are extremely passionate about their work to be on talk shows and trying to guide hosts that are usually uncooperative, not that its their fault its just a hard job field to share experiences to others with
I'm sure the hosts want to listen and such but they always have to cut them short because of time limits. Like I see people all the time saying the hosts are being rude and whatever but literally they have to do their job and stick to schedule. But yeah, you're right
I bet you eat them though and let them suffer immense pain since birth so you can have 5 mins of taste. Evidentially meat-eaters think taste is more important than life

James Corden is brilliant with them to be fair. Him and Conan are the two best with animals. Kimmel & Fallon are genuinely interested but it bugs me when they don't let the Dave or the other animal experts talk and explain things, and keep interrupting with silly, not very funny jokes a lot of the time. If your gonna have the guy on at least listen to him

jimmy kimmel is far more respectful and takes part in intereacting with the animals other talk show hosts talk over the animal people and act like 3 year olds
Conan and Wendy Williams are also really good. Jimmy is respectful but does have the tendency to talk a lot, stopping Dave from just saying what he wants to say
i got almost the exact opposite of that...seemed to me like he constantly talked over him, was trying to hard to be "scared" and was just in general not interested...only reason i watch these is to see the animals
Really? I totally feel the opposing, he's very often not letting Dave talk, and complainjng about how scared he is. I think the fact that he's so scared makes the animals get a bad reputation. Wendy Williams is really good, she's down to pet anything and she lets her animal experts talk and asks good questions for more information. Conan is a little more bold with the animals but he doesn't let the expert talk very much either.
I feel like he should be more committed to doing what Dave wants. I know it's his show but if he doesn't seem into it he shouldn't have it on his show imo
Jimmy is exactly the kind of person you do NOT want around potentially dangerous animals. He's jumpy, makes a lot of fast movements, and shouts... especially when he's told DO NOT DO THAT. I was a zookeeper for a decade, and we'd look out for guys like that at animal demo time, and make sure they were well away from the animals, or the keeper who would end up hurt.

There's a video on YT that shows a very happy porcupine eating a little sweet pumpkin, and he's SO happy! He makes the cutest funny noises as he chows down.
