I like to think this intro implies that Jack doesn't exist except when he's summoned to play games, so each time he's suddenly plopped into this world he doesn't know what to expect and at this point he just kind of rolls with it like “golly guess I’m here now.” As soon as filming ends, Jack is thrown back into the abyss to await the next video, unsure what lies in store. Edit*** I didn’t even mean for this to be a theory or that deep. The last part - the coded message - was in Base 64. It translates to Sega_S -- which may refer to the Sega System (aka the master system) which also released in 1986 in North America - same year as all the dates on the tapes.) It seems to fit the clues, I think. It's a little hard to tell from a scanned code from a RU-vid video, but I did my best. :) It did take a little time to figure everything out and find the link to the Sega master system and make sure it was the right fit. I didn't want to give the wrong info. XD

They both have a "hangman" beside them, which could mean some letters of the code need to be discarded. There's also the fact that the guy wanting the tapes was Dutch, and part of the second code ("ZES ALS OP") translates to "six as/if on/up" in Dutch (which could be a clue). Edit: I pretty much pieced together the things about the VHS-1986 from ManlyBadassHero's video (VHS 1986 - A Tape You Shouldn't Watch) and a few replies to his comment in that same comment section. As for the definite answer, there's a youtuber called iwanPlays who apparently found it (and said he will post it in a few days). Also (credits to u/cryoclasm on Reddit), it seems the ARG involves piecing together codes from different games submitted to the Haunted PS1 Wretched Weekend 1. From what we found so far, probably the whole code will lead to a URL (more specifically, the Wikipedia article on Sega_Saturn).
