It’s been my wish to pray in Masjid al Aqsa in the month of Ramadan and do Iftari with my brothers and sisters in Palestine.

I can’t help but be a little emotional the past few days. While inshallah I get to travel to Mecca and Medina, Al Aqsa once understanding its history is a place I really like to visit and pray in one day. May Allah grant us the ability to pray at Al Aqsa, may any Palestinian who was denied access to Al Aqsa be granted entry. And for anyone who attacks worshipers inside Al Aqsa, I can only imagine what Allah’s punishment will be for them.

Oh Allah, forgive all of our past, present, and future sins, Ameen.

Each time a sick person uses it you gain. 3) Participate in building a masjid. 4) Place a watercooler in a public space. 5) Plant a tree. You gain whenever a person or an animal sits in it's shade or eat from it. 6) And the easiest of all, share this message with people.

Don’t do anything in retaliation. The aggrieved and all of us let us wake up for Thahajud and pray to Allah Subhanahutalaah to protect the believers and punish the violators. Then wait in Sabr and see what happens to the disbelievers. Allah Subhanahutalaah says even if a kafir is rendered injustice by a believer and he prays against them, Allah accepts their prayers and punish the offending believer. If this is the power of a non believer against the believer, then just imagine what will Allah do to the disbelievers when a believer is rendered injustice. When you retaliate you don’t have a case. They want you to retaliate so that they can justify more atrocities. And Allah Subhanahutalaah’s help will not be there. Salah and Sabr is the key and the solution.

The history of Al-Aqsa mosque should refer back to the history of Isra Mi'raj or the Night Journey of the prophet Muhammad from Masjid-il Haram to Masjid Al-Aqsa written in the Quran. It would be a spiritual dream of the prophet, that he flew from Masjid-il Haram to Masjid Al-Aqsa on a flying horse named Bouraq. This night journey took place in 621 AD, at the same year of the Hijrah, migrating from Masjid-il Haram to Medina. There was no one, who was still alive around the prophet, that can witness this journey. Consider also that the biography of the prophet are written in surahs and hadiths 200-300 years after the prophet died in 632 AD (11 AH/After Hijrah) and they were mostly written in Persia (now Iraq and Iran), far away from Mecca, Medina and Petra. What the standard narratives of Islam told us today are based on these manuscripts written 200-300 years after the events. It is never said in the Quran that Masjid Al-Aqsa is located in Jerusalem. The Al-Aqsa mosque means "the farthest mosque". Quran 17: 1: “Holy is He Who carried His servant by night from the Holy Mosque/Masjid-il Haram to the farther Mosque/Masjid Al-Aqsa - whose surroundings We have blessed - that We might show him some of Our signs. Indeed He alone is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.” The prophet never said that Al-Aqsa is located at the Temple Mount or in Jerusalem, because otherwise the mosque should be called Masjid Al-Quds by the prophet in the Quran. Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem. Later Islamic interpretation says that Masjid-il Haram is Mecca in Saudi Arabia and Masjid Al-Aqsa is in Jerusalem. The current Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem was in fact built during Abdul Malik’s caliphate in around 700 AD, which is at least 70 years after the prophet died or almost 100 years after the Hijrah. Thus, during the Isra Mi’raj conducted by the prophet there was no mosque existing in Jerusalem. Therefore it is Abdul Malik’s own decision 70 years after the prophet died to built the mosque there and named it Al-Aqsa. Many arguments can be given to this related to political power influences built by Abdul Malik against the Jews and Christians in the land of Jerusalem. During his time the shahadat was introduced (the complete shahadat in one statement itself doesn’t exist in the Quran), Arab coins introduced, and the holy book Quran written in Arabic should be used to strengthen the Arabic language application as part of the identity of Islam. Later, after 200-300 years, during the Abbasid caliphate based in Persia, hadiths and history of Islam were written including that the Masjid-il Haram is in Mecca and the Masjid Al-Aqsa is in Jerusalem were like “stamped” as the interpretation. Masjid-il Haram is also never said in the Quran that it is located in Mecca, in Saudi Arabia. According to the latest finding from Dan Gibson’s research, i.e. by checking the many earliest mosques’ qiblas, the Masjid-il-Haram, where the prophet originally comes from, is actually in Petra, Jordan. The “Masjid-il Haram” in Mecca was built or established much later after Muhammad died. This Al-Aqsa mosque (farthest mosque) is close to Al-Adna mosque (lower/close mosque) and both are outside Petra or the Masjid-il-Haram. This Al-Aqsa mosque is very likely now known as the Moses Spring in Wadi Mousa, outside Petra. Refer this Al-Aqsa history and finding in nabataea.net/cinema/questionsanswers/q-a-8-al-aqsa/
