I saw the video "3 guys 1 hammer" on dubious site over a decade ago. It was extremly heartbreaking for me. The 2 boys crushed an old man, who had beaten the cancer recently and called his wife's name in crying. In the courtroom his wife had to see the video (one boy filmed with the cellphone). This boy informed the police, because he was involuntary and scared.

For me it’s always interesting to see how they portray the characters looks in the animation, and then looking the people up and seeing how they actually look.

I remember reading a true crime novel about a group of young teens (12-14?) In Florida who ran away from home and went door to door in a retirement community robbing and quite brutally killing the elderly 😖. Don't remember exactly when it happened though.

This reminds me of a case in California when I was about 12. A boy lied about his age and mail ordered a gun. He then shot his brother to death. He was mentally Ill. He tested the gun on a mattress and then off shot his brother to death after he came home from school. I remember reading the whole story in what was then the Los Angeles Herold Express. It frightened me and I read it more than once. It was called a Cain and Abel slaying. Institutionalization was still in vogue at the time and this probably got a number of marginally mentally ill kids sent to mental hospitals.
