I have nothing but respect for Straight edge , but hardcore is not all about anti alcohol, drugs or smoking. its about being positiv and not giving up. If it was not for Terror I would not be here today. They saved my life with their lyrics.
REMIHUSE I always thought of it as Keepers if the faith of Hardcore music, standing up for what's right and having anybody's back, that's hardcore to me. Feeling like I actually belong even though I'm not straight edge... I had no idea it was about being edge.
Honestly, when I feel down from the pressures of life, feel mentally weak, lose direction, feel alone, only this song can make my spirit rise again.. !!! THANKS TERROR !!
Guys, I'm sorry for the other people that are straight edge that treat you like they're higher than you and that you're trash. I want to apologize on their behalf. We're not all self-righteous douche bags. Hardcore is a brotherhood. You're a family whether you're sober and claim it, you don't claim it, or you enjoy getting plastered drunk. It doesn't matter, the bond is still there.
Fred Fleet yup, i remember initially the punks and skins at war, then agnostic front came out with united and strong and we all joined in the pit in one glorious mosh
Tad Wensley With all due respect, screw you. Haha. I'm vegan and straight edge. And the last thing on my mind is that I'm better than someone else simply because I chose a different path. And this wasn't meant to upset anyone...
This isn't an edge song why are so many people bringing that up? Anyone that believes in the hardcore scene and what we stand for are all keepers of the faith. I personally smoke cannabis but I sure as hell stand by hardcore values, we're all family, white, black, American or not we all fell into this scene for a reason. We're the outcasts, the misunderstood, the broken, the forgotten, and the exiled but we built us a family and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
It's funny because I'm straight edge and have been to so many hardcore fests that have so many people high on super hard drugs. Guy that was stage driving whole fest with a Montreal Canadian was straight up high on angel dust the whole time. Lol I got no issues with it though, get to see people do stupid stuff like stage dive, no one catch them, then get back up and try again. Lol
Terror isn't just music, Terror is a way of life. In every bad situation this music helps me to get new hope. I hope the band will tell us more stories. I hope they will live forever. They're great. (Sorry for bad english)
Feeling every single word since the very first album one with the underdog, so much respect for Terror....100% pure hardcore. The keepers of the faith I live through this
I found the intro, is from the movie "The Robe" 1953. Seems like Judas was looking for Jesus and spoke those words Can you help me? I'm looking for a man. - A man? What's his name? - Jesus. I must warn him. You're too late. Even now he is before Pilate. - They found him? - He was betrayed to them, and by one he loved and trusted. By his disciple, who sat at his left hand. Why? Because men are weak. Because they are cursed with envy and cowardice. Because they can dream of truth, but cannot live with it, they doubt. They doubt, the fools. Why must men betray themselves with doubts? Tell them, the others. Find them and tell them not to doubt. Even now, not to doubt. Tell them to keep their faith. They must keep faith. Wait. Tell who? - Who are you? - My name is Judas.
Jay Williams that's bc this song is just that. His interview he brings up that this song is for everyone that believes in the hardcore scene and it's values, it has nothing to do with edge.
Ex nazi, atheist and 10 year heroin abuser. This band and many others in the HxC division saved me. I will defend you till the day I fuckin die. We are ALL Gods children, Forgive those who wronged you, even if that person is you, yourself.
TERROR lyrics : "Keepers Of The Faith" Play the Terror Quiz First time I felt alive I heard her voice and I knew her pain and strife I roamed alone, death by my side Nothing seemed right 'til you came into my life I grabbed a hold to learn and grow It was destined that you and I collide My everything, my sacrifice And I'll defend you 'til the day I die Chorus: Keepers of the faith I will defend your name Only true believers remain The blood, the sweat we gave Through all my joys and pains You can't deny the keepers of the faith I reach for you in troubled times You spoke to me and made everything alright I live through you, I'm by your side It's safe to say that you truly saved my life
I was 4 years old when I found heavy music/hardcore and I didn't know it at the time what it was about I just listened to it cause I liked the intensity. As I got older I understood the lyrics as I started relating to them from shit happening. I didn't find this music, I truly believe it found me. I don't care how fucking corny it sounds, hardcore is what gave me a place to belong because the world didn't accept me. It showed me brotherhood, loyalty and the people I've met over the years from going to shows as a teenager and now growing up I'm still young I'm barely 20 but you get me. Thrown into the world is tough at first but hardcore always made it better. This song will forever be one of my favorites. Holding it down for Southern California HC!
The only people who give up listening to hardcore are the people who don´t understand life. The struggles, fights and brotherhoods that´s what keeps us strong. It´s not about if sounds cool. it´s simply a way of life.

I'm not a fan of Hardcore music, but Terror are absolutely brilliant. This album is borderline Thrash/Crossover. Makes me wonder why more Thrashers aren't fans of this album. 👍🏻👏🏻
maybe 'cause metalheads dont give a chance to new bands. I've only discovered Terror last year due to a recommendation on my spotfy. Both their music and lyrics are great

Anyone that doesn't like this video has never seen this band live. They have the craziest fans ever that will leap in the air and climb on top of your head just to take the singers microphone for 2 seconds
"I don't wanna turn on the radio and hear some band singing about how some girl hurt them, I wanna those are quotes heard from Scott Vogel, Terror's singer. Hardcore is more about family than about being straight edge. "It doesn't matter if you have a dick or a pussy, we all belong here." "Soundguy, can I get more stagedives in the monitors please?" "I wanna see you cast a level 7 difficulty stage dive pronto!" "If you know the words, get up here and sing along with us. This song is called 'DON'T NEED YOUR HELP.'" "Everyone shouts out the edge kids! Well this one is for the non-edge kids! I used to go see Judge with beer on my breath!" "Dude, I loved your bands cover of 'Straightedge Revenge.' I would've sang along but I was at the back buying beers."
2023 still listen to this song. Thanks Terror, I grow from highschool teenager 'till adult with 1 daughter with each part of KOTF lyric...trully inspire me
conna bray I'm Straight Edge and I don't mind people drinking alcohol or smoking weed, as long as it doesn't affect me or hurt anyone and as long as they're responsible with it. I, myself don't get it, but it's none of my business. But what really pisses me off are cigarettes. They're ruining the environment, they're ruining lives of the people around and by smoking you're supporting animal testing. Some alcohol brands test on animals too, but other than that, I don't really understand why Straight Edge people would beat up somebody just for drinking alcohol. Duh
i know some great straight edge guys,,and yes the scene in europe turned into a radical scene at middle of 90s,,strife turned those back on edge scene because that radical attitude of some of that morons!!and the hardcore scene changed yet complete, many wannabe,s,fashion victims, idiots, agressive people and they have even not an idea what hardcore is,they like the scene because they like the fashion, its sad to see how my scene that i m a part of since 17years is fucked up,,,
These guys were playing in front of thousands in Warsaw, Poland, and they had the humility to ask my relatively small band to play a number of shows in SoCal back in 2005. Terror is the real deal; if you haven't seen them, surely they will be in your town within the next year. I suggest going to see them.
@MySporeHasBig This video is not about next top model...It's a music video clip of a legendary hardcore band. You can find many sites about dressing, but this is MUSIC
Okay! thanks for the tips. It's been a while for now I know TERROR, I can say that I love the band. Sure this is not Straight Edge, but this is real Hardcore, and this is the most important for the roots of Hardcore and by the way, the roots of Straight Edge. So TERRO is so awesome, very positiv and very true to the scene, this what I love from the band, also the music is very loud and good to hear and scream, which makes TERROR a fucking great band! =)
Funny reading the comments. Edge or not. Im new to this kind of music, coming from the death metal scene and dont even know what this genre is. Does it really matter if its good.
@eclip13tical yes, it has influences from metal of course but that doesn't strictly make it a metal genre. that doesn't justify calling a hardcore band "gangster metal", FACT.
Love this kind of hardcore, could anyone recommend some bands/songs like this? Don't really like songs like "Your enemies are mine" which is too fast paced hardcore for me.
Vigil has done some shit to Scott while they were touring together, that's why Scott talked shit about TGI. and i think that part about ''true hardcore'' was just sarcastic.
