I absolutely love "who do you think you are taling to old man, we're the jokerz" sure you are. Noone would know the real joker better than anyone besides bruce wayne. love it
John Adams I swear this guy I'm show u on the link looks exactly like the first jokerz that appears ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-diwr47lEjN8.html
"We're the Jokerz!" "Sure you are." Lmao Bruce was probably thinking, "this has got to be some kind of an insult, 30 years later and the original Joker still puts them to shame."
This whole sequence shows just how well Terry is suited to become the new Batman. First, we see that he's got combat skills and he knows how to use the terrain to his advantage. Then, when the rest of the gang shows up, he leads them on a chase, keeping the crowd out of danger and also, inadvertently, thinning the Jokerz' numbers. Terry also demonstrates fast reflexes, dodging traffic and later Bruce. He thinks Bruce is just an old man getting in over his head and tries to get him out of the way, again demonstrating his desire to keep innocents out of danger, but when Bruce shows how badass he is, Terry recognises what a huge advantage he's got and takes on half the gang while Bruce handles the other half.
+One Nerd95 Same sorta logic people have for idolizing the likes of Hitler or Charles Manson. Some people are just fixated on people like that. Having people like that in the comic world only makes sense.
"Who do you think you're talking to old man? We're the Jokerz!" "Sure you are." That smirk. Bruce knows the real Joker. These, no pun intended, clowns can't even hope to compete against that madman.
I believe that Nolan looked at all of the Batman property, took what he liked and made his movies. The fact that "The Dark Knight Rises" is all about an aging Bruce Wayne looking for a new replacement Batman is almost kinda like the subplot of John Blake
+Dylan Rifkin going to get some groceries then suddenly a mugger walks up to you asking for your money. 5 minutes later h is at his friends house covered in bruies yelling through the letterbox to let him in before YOU find him!
The moral of this clip? Once Batman...ALWAYS Batman. No matter how old you are, whether or not you're wearing the costume or not-- always. (I especially love how at the end, Bruce does the traditional Batman 'offhand backhand* trick -with his cane-.)
I just love this Bruce wayne is 85 years old and kicking butt. But later in the episode when Terry sees all thebat costumes "no wonder" but bets lines all by bruce wayne "leave him alone, and get off my property , your tresspassing" we are the jokers "sure you are" lol
magmablock I’m sorry for Adam West death I couldn’t his autograph in last spring at a comic con event in Hanover it’s crowed that I was so close I didn’t make it I was heartbroken
been so long since i saw this i had forgotten terry could kick ass before he even became batman. i mean the stuff he pulled was definitely not normal. it seems like the only thing stopping him from becoming batman without bruces help is the fact that hes not rich
It's ironic how in TDKR Universe Batman retires and later comes back and inspires a gang to be like him (Son's of the Batman) but in the Batman Beyond Universe Joker dies and later comes back which inspires a gang to be like him (The Joker Gang)
Both choices are great! I'd never considered Eastwood for that role but when I think about it, he looks perfect for the part! But I really want to see Conroy do that part, it'd be easy enough to make him look older.
Jokerz freaked me out as a kid. The "Let's put a smiiiile on his face" line still feels so visceral and disturbing because you know exactly what he's talking about.
I wonder if nolan stold "lets put a smile on that face" from this because this came out years before dark knight. I am ok with it either way it's a great line
It would've been cool if the gangs went to both ends of the spectrum: There could've been a rival gang like the SOBs from "Dark Knight Returns" who were violent vigilantes.
@ScroggsOVision thats a good point of view, but there is another reason they choose old villains, they don't have any imaginations and are to lazy to make up their own villain :P
Really? Being able to defend himself (quite well and with some style I might add) makes McGinnis a freak? Fail on your part dude. And the jokers should know better than to Frick with old people!
@FaxModem1 I figure they're just future teenage sociopaths unconcerned for the implications of their choices, or just lacking in the brains department. They don't really care for the Joker, he's just a convenient theme. At least that's my guess, it's not said in the show or anything.
When Chelsea says earlier about Nelson, "You've never wrestled with him," she and Dana are watching Nelson's wrestling match with Terry, but since she was dating Nelson do you think she also could have made that statement as a euphemism for having sex with him?
I like how the animators said "You know how we could REALLY drive home how much of an asshole Nelson is? Let's make him the guy that wears sunglasses at night because he thinks it makes him look cool."
+Shadowhawk28 If anyone looks up the clip from "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker," called "Joker kills bonk" then he would see that's exactly what the real Joker says when he reacts to these cheap knockoffs.
Joker: Who do you think you're talking to, old man? We're the Jokerz. Bruce: Bitch, please. I've fought the Joker. You're just a wannabe fanboy in a Halloween costume.
when you think about it, Bruce taking a jab at these wannabe's is the closest thing to respect he would show to his eternal enemy, especially when you consider ALL the damage the Joker did.
+gorrow1990 To be fair, that cane's probably worth more than a few of those motorcycles put together. He probably has some military-grade shit goin' on there.
