Hi people, this is Blair from Terry, Blair & Anouchka. I put up the video of Ultra modern Nursery Rhymes and received a disclaimer from Jerry Sadowitz that I was infringing his copyright. How sad is this? A harmless video, no money changes hands, it's not played on TV and the only exposure is through web sites like RU-vid.
As crazy as this sounds, and keep in mind, I'm not the first to say it, I think Terry's DNA should be preserved. I also think he should be declared one of England's National Treasures.
MDH I agree with your message , ive loved Terry and his band since their beginning , hes given me great joy ,,He should be Sir Terry ⭐⭐ Us fans declare this xx lol to a special bloke Jane 🎤🎸🎹🎺🎺🎺🎺📯📯📯🎷🎷🎷🎸🎸🎸🎸💽

One of my favourite songs ever. Terry and Marijne(Salad) are both brilliant. Always uplifting 🤗 Also Terry does an amazing duet with Sinead O'Connor, All kinds of everything!
@MrPhilAsheo It was for a charity album by Warchild - the album was called Help (it was for Bosnia I think) Artists all doing something different to what they would be expected, I think it was all recorded in 2 days and then in the shops the next week, John Lennon inspired.
We keep hearing about most understated talents. Many are, but to me Terry Hall is in the top row. This video clip attest of it as much as the rest of his songs.
I loved Terry from 13 years of age I was lucky to meet him x they say never meet your hero you will only be disappointed…. He was sublime x I was not disappointed.
MINDBLOWING! You'll never cease to amaze me Terry! Noticed that the very rare times he smiles, it's at a woman? But then in a long, recent, fascinating, sometimes hilarious interview, where he talks about being bipolar, gives his er..'opinion' about U2, etc, etc, he also says he always loved working with women, and hates men. And that The Specials used to punch each other in the face. Could be the explanation for Dammers' toothless grin. I wish I could upload the interview: not to be missed!
MDH Some of his best work has been with women : Bananarama/ Blair and Anouchka/ female backing band of Fun Boy Three. Also great duets with women like Sinead O' Connor/ Marijne etc
Also, here is the album it was taken from, to help those looking for it. An excellent CD. I bought on a whim on ebay over a decade ago and it's great! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Help_Album
I always thought that The Beautiful South could've done a great version of Terry's/Colourfield "Thinking of you" this sounds a lot like their version of this song.
:) thanks for this... i was looking through loads of Terry Hall stuf when this came to mind..... Thank you thank you thank you... great cover by a great man.
Tuve el placer de conocer y compartir con terry, lo recuerdo con tanto amor... amo está canción, una muy linda interpretación... es ran triste su muerte...
Clicked on this because of Terry (and being curious of what he did with this classic), and then saw it was with Salad! Good band, with some great songs back in the day. Salad's singer Marijne is the daughter of a famous (well, at least in The Netherlands) Dutch actor, having a go at being a veejay, turned singer. Both Marijne and Terry do justice to this song, by the way.
Jerry only appears briefly and has given no regard to the 3 artist that are in the video who want the video to be seen by the public. THIS IS SO UNFAIR.......Do you not feel this is absurd? Many thanks to the 25,000 who have seen the video and enjoyed it. Blair
Hi Blair Yes it is very sad indeed only for you I wouldn't have seen that video and thanks for uploading those Terry Blair & Anouchka Demo recordings I really enjoyed them. Cheers
Thank you for posting this!!!! I've been looking for this for a long time. I remember liking it because of the cello line. Was this released on a compilation called "This is Manchester"?
