TERRY TALKS with Michael Greyeyes - Ep. 2 "N8v Families vs. the Tropes of Disempowerment" 

I am part Cherokee, none of the films that i seen touch on the lives of those who inter married in the 1940's. Both sides were abusive...my fathers side, American Indian and my mother's side, white. My parents were married for 65 years dispite their trials. They had 6 childern, i am the eldest and the last one standing at 80 yo. My father would not talk about his past ...i tried many times but he was silent. My mother, in her way was as well but did disclose a bit about my fathers life. They were both good people although i realized the both came from abject disfunction. I don't know how they managed but they must have found a way, in each other, to find that which had been missing. I would love to see an interpretation of how life was lived under the strain of this distressing attitude by both sides of their families. The kids, born of this disfunction carry the burden and some of it is passed to their own childern. There must be others who have lived in a family with the mix of Native American Indian and white. I, for one have stayed silent, as i learned from my family. Thank you for showing us that staying silent is not always the best way.

I am appalled with my education they lied so much about what happened back then. I am so upset over what the supposed Priests and Nuns did to the little kids!! Also what those elected supposed presidents had the Armies just kill, all your descendents from the past was just like the evil Holocaust in Germany! it makes me ashamed to be white! You two have great chemistry i really love your characters i just saw the one show where Kim was at the game so funny, i was a softball mom i got kicked out a couple times.

Also due to this conversation which somehow I was drawn to again a year later, I was thinking about the movie Avatar and Avatar 2. I actually love the peaceful scenes of exploring and learning. Began to detest the violence and the pursuit of the two main characters and their families. Things to streaming I can simply skip to the peaceful parts where the family explores a whole new water world. There is a hunger for nonviolent escapism. I hope as you stand by these it can permeate all areas of life and cinema.
