TERRYTOONS TURN ON TV! 

I'm surprised at the fluidity of the Terrytoons' animation. Rather ridiculed in their time & ever since by cartoon historians as the low-budget end of theatrical animation, & virtually forgotten altogether today, they seem remarkably good. The characters appear to have 3-dimensional elasticity & engaging personalities, the stories bouncing along energetically with a high frequency of comical moments, including unexpected surprises, always the mark of well-thought-out & imaginative plot-pacing. The backgrounds, also, are quite on a par with the work of other studios, very well drawn & detailed. Nice use of color, too. I'm finding there's little not to like & admire about Terrytoons!

I love Terry-Toons.
