When you can reset pressure by walking forward and the other player mistakes it for the counter for long enough to give you that mental frame advantage, you’re mindgaming it properly.

50 meter that you can get back almost instantly. This is Terumi, one of the most aggressive fighting game characters I've ever seen (granted, that list isn't terribly long. I'm fairly new to fighting games as a whole)
@@8-bitsarda747 not necessarily because he's aggressive (though he definitely is) its because it's his gimmick. He's specifically built around building way more meter than any other character, while also being more reliant on meter than any other character.
It's crazy how Terumi is actually garbage but only to make you feel like garbage after losing to him. His playerbase is completely full of trolls because so is he.

Yep. Specially Ragna. Although in the end, his motives for his actions were pretty belieable and actually well done. For an insane guy like it was and still is.
He also has enough Forethought and Scheming planned out to make that Zeench fella from WH40K look like a 2nd grade math teacher Seriously Terumi planned out his entire plot to get his Actual body back over so many ridiculous things in Blazblues story that Attempting to rationalize how he thought it out is straight up impossible This is a series where timeloops aren't even the most complicated thing about it btw
@@notarealspy4090 I get a distinct hunch that the BlazBlue timeline/world is reset on a bi-weekly basis (based on the limited information I got from dabbling in CF Arcade mode). Terumi must be an actual 5D intellectual to formulate a plan that lasts even 4 days.
@@max-potato-muncher every timeloop is 100 years and Terumi is aware of it due to immunity to "Phenomena Intervention" which is a Blazblue way of saying "God Powers", more specifically it gives him immunity to things that would have a direct effect on him such as memory loss or destroying his Soul/Metaphysical form According to how Hakumen came about, IIRC it was around the 103rd or 203rd timeloop where Jin went back in time through the Cauldron with Ragna and Nu, where Rachel (also immune to Phenomena Intervention) gave him the Susanoo Unit, so there is at the absolute least, that many timeloops Terumi had to go through in addition to the Continuum Shift Event which as it's name implies: has an infinite amount of outcomes. Which Terumi managed to land on exactly what he needed in order to Destroy an Artificial God called Takamagahara, which was constantly protecting itself with Three Superpowered AI, each AI having the ability to use Phenomena Intervention to an insane degree... Not counting the fact he has NO defense options so you are forced to spend that same meter gain to make yourself safe. Same for his overdrive, if you burst you lose access to overdrive which is what allows him to really rack up the damage. Long story short termui is a really terrible but fun as hell character.
When you need to spend meter for a reversal, you kind of have to build it up quick. He's bottom tier purely because you can zone him like crazy or beat out any buttons, forcing him to play recklessly and try to steal your meter.
@@dominicbrunsmeier7830 I was actually labbing the combo yesterday and managed to pull it off. 6458 damage or something max when I did it (probably because I didn't have active flow), which is pretty neat.
Is this game still played? I think I can get a PS3 soon. And CP and CF are the ones left for me to play (Will still try to get the other 2 games for collection purposes)
Terumi is only not a top tier cuz makes them feel like trash after getting baited like that Just counter instead of asking for a normal DP c': *goes online to get bullied in combos *
5 years of playing this terribly made character. You'll never get outta of using counter even when you should know better. Atleast the combos are saucy.
Really please buff it. It got stupidly nerfed when it wasn't even good, made it weaker for some reason. Make it actually worthwhile, and please do away with the dumb flaws please
