Teshar vs Godo vs Malcolm / Kediss vs Wort | Commander cEDH Gameplay 

Thanks to the lovely patrons who pointed out that Alex's deck description is incorrect at 1:00. It's a little too late to change it, but he's playing Godo!

The banter during introductions almost made me miss that the info card for Godo appears to be for a completely different deck. The game also did not disappoint!

My favorite thing about this channel is the after game conversation. As a newer player, I like that yall talk through what you were trying to do, what you like and didn't like. Please keep doing this! Also, fantastic playmat.

As of the Ixalan block rules change,lands that normally enter play tapped no longer enter tapped under a Blood Moon. Additionally, Cavern of Souls does not get a chance to name a creature type with a Blood Moon already in play.

24:00 - Am I missing something? Why wouldn't Eliot Conspire the Transmogrify to target Wort too? It gives some resilience against interaction, and worst that happens he can recast Wort next turn and make some more friends. (also, 5 minutes of silent void at the end of the video?)

A little bit of optimization you could do on the last turn that you missed. When you activated Sensei's Divining Top the last time before you put it on top to draw, you can hold priority and sac it to Krark-Clan Ironworks. You would have 2 mana floating and still be able to draw a card. Sensei's in your graveyard would also make it a combo with Myr Retriever, Krark-Clan Iron Works and Teshar that allows you to draw your deck. You also had the Relic Vial so you would just win. You found a line in the end but there was a easier way that didn't involve you having to sac your Grand Abolisher and expose yourself to interaction. Great game, I love the banter and I got to see all my favorite mountains. Can't wait for the next one.

Jim I play the maskwood nexus variant of Malcolm/Kediss and it’s got considerably more tutors because using Magda to get Niv/Glinthorn aith treasures as your win condition instead of the Polymorph effects means you can also utilize creature type manipulation to get access to Reckless Fireweaver as a back up Glinthorn and also allows you to play yuor Consecrated Sphinx for advantage. Just food for thought as I love the deck quite a bit and I think the polymorph version is much more fragile than it should be.

First land played is Remote Farm! My first favorite land cycle! Love the depletion lands!

Only 20 min in but so far, 3 questions: Why not +1 karn on mana crypt to set jim even further behind (altho he does play sol ring next turn) or ever flowing chalice to stone rain, effectively. Also, Dwarven Ruins and Cavern f souls dont have abilities on entering so they shouldnt enter tapped or name a creature type.

Honest rules question. At 18:45, Elliot plays a dwarves ruins tapped, but I'm pretty sure with magus of the moon, it should enter untapped. I thought blood Moon effects basically make lands look at what they would be when they enter the battlefield, so bounce lands, tap lands, etc enter as mountains, and therefore enter untapped. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

So maybe I'm wrong here, but there a loads of situations where you'd want to Conspire the gamble with 1 card in hand unless I'm missing something. It would all depend on your target for the gamble and what you want it to do. If for example, Eliot wanted to Gamble for a basic Forest so that he would have green mana to get around the Magus of the Moon, then he would actually increase his odds of getting a forest after the 2 gambles resolve. Since this is cEDH and the decklist linked for Eliot is Lazav not Wort, I would assume there is more than one Transmogriphy effect in his deck. Thus, gambling for 2 of them, would give him a 75% chance to end up with 1 of them in the end and I believe a 50% to get the actual card you want if you choose that card as the result of the 2nd gamble resolution and a 25% chance to ditch the card you had in hand at the beginning.

I just found your channel and this game was very enjoyable to watch. I'm actually putting together a Malcom deck now as well. I'm sure the Malcom player has it in there, but I'm going for a treasure infect kill combo. Create treasures, then with academy manufacturer create food and clue, having reckless fireweaver on board, Xorn for extra treasure tokens and the fireweaver equipped with grafted exo skeleton. It should deal 12 infect to each of a 4 man pod.. * fingers crossed that it works as planned*

I think there is a mistake with the graphics during Alex’s deck intro.

Please do Nadaar, selfless paladin. Might be worth rehashing venture. With Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate around the corner, we can probably speculate that more dungeons or dungeon like mechanics will be released. This time with commander focus.

I don’t think Teshar dying triggers relic vial. When he enters the graveyard, there are no clerics on the battlefield.

We need a cursed game where everyone communicates only by doing the Eliot tongue thing.

Why does Dwarven Ruins enter play tapped? @18:49 Dwarven Ruins should come into play untapped.

With the Magus of the Moon out, all the lands that have replacement effects enter the battlefield without those replacement effects. The lands that say "this enters the battlefield tapped" will enter as an untapped Mountain. The Cavern of Souls enters and no creature type is picked.

At around 32:00 was hoping Alex would've used the rare welder my opponents KCI into something sucky line Great game though! EDIT: Jim caught this at end of game ignore me sorry

at 24:38 Alex tapped Honor Worn Shaku for a colorless mana to pay for Chaos Warp, HWS is not legendary though.
