The car industry will shrink rapidly, certainly by 2035, replaced by robotaxis. Tesla’s will likely control a huge part of the human transport industry by then. Then add robotrucks globally. Also look at the growth potential of Tesla energy storage….and the margins are much higher than cars too.

A big strength of Tesla is behind everything is a 1000 year plan. Toyota had a 100 year plan BUT new management have let that slide.

Jim Walter Corporation in Tampa, Fl actually did what you described with houses. Went from a $400 house framer in 1945 to a frotune 100 company by the 1970's. Could build an entire house from the ground up without buying anything from other companies. They also financed the home and insured the home.

Im hearing the same old exciting reasons I invested in the first place, but I sold half my shares because Elon the person is a loose canon and doesnt feel worthy of my investment and the stock is a volitile roller-coaster that can nose dive with the wind of a mouse fart. That being said, I am still holding some shares for all the reasons stated in the video.
