Totally loving your videos! A bit of humour is always appreciated. Siri being needy was genius 😂. My Tesla Y arrives on the 30th so I really appreciate content like yours 😀.
@@televisi They have a few local resellers, but unfortunately I think those only resell the sunglasses they make. So if you want the non sunglasses with the sunglasses attachments, those I had to order from their US store.
Loving your videos. I am keen to see what your thoughts are on the Jowua matts when you get them. I love my Jowua products, however, I find the rear one doesn’t fit correctly and when getting out of the car as the drivers seat move back and is grabbing the rear Matt. THey are great Matt’s overall. I have the Tessories Boot/Trunk Matt for my model 3 as well. It is great quality for the pricing.
Thanks so much and I have spent over £150 on those very useful accessories you recommended. Love watching your videos and I'm definitely your fan. Cheers
Another great video Lee. There is a $53 module that can be purchased to replace the USB hub behind the console well, so it can talk to car, and not just supply charging power. Here is a link to a RU-vid video on how to install and where to buy.
We finally got word that out Model Y is on a boat should be ready for delivery in about 5 weeks so it's time to get some accessories sorted. Given that this video is around 11 months old now, was there anything you would do different as far as accessories go?
It’s funny you ask. I was thinking next week I may do another video with a few more accessories we’ve picked up along the way. Nothing dramatic that you can’t live without but a few little things that make life a bit easier.
@@notacarguy_au Nice! I will keep an eye out. Wheel covers and mud flaps of some kind are at the top of the list to have when the car arrives. Especially mud flaps as we live in the country. Perhaps console inserts too but not sure what ones. The rest I was just planning to see what we wish we had after using the car for a bit.
@@goneincognito6275 Oh yes, mud flaps was one of the first ones we did. I filmed a video of it, but never posted that video, don't ask me way. 😉🤣 We've had the console insets in this video over a year and are still very happy with them, if that helps. Good idea to not go too crazy and instead use the car for a bit and see what you think you may need.
Hi Lee, I'm Jamie ... I too wear glasses and am not really a car guy. I have ordered a MY RWD and have enjoyed your videos. I have a question for you. Have you put a protective coating on your car? If so, which one? Thanks again
Hi Jamie, thanks for the question. I did get protection for my car. I am planning on doing a video about it some time, but I need to wait on some things. We got ceramic coating inside and outside the car as well as PPF on the front and leading edges of the car. It was pretty pricey, but this is by far the most expensive car we've ever had so wanted to do what we could to take car of it.
Awesome videos. Loving your humor and detailed information. 😄 Would you mind sharing where you got the ceramic and ppf done please. I have ordered blue as well and from Melbourne. Cheers.
Hi, thanks for the kind comment. I used a company called Affinesse Premium Detailing. They weren't the cheapest, but they are very good. Planning to do a video about it early next year.
Thanks. I got them from a company called "Flyingeyes". They are mainly designed for pilots, so cost a bit more than standard glasses. But I am very, very happy with them.
Love your videos. You put a smile on my face every time I watch your intro. You mentioned in one of your videos you had your car ceramic wrapped. How was it and how much did it cost please?
Thanks, we got the front, door edges and boot edges done with PPF and the whole car in and out done with ceramic wrap and I think it cost about $3.5K. So pretty pricey, but so far it’s been pretty good.
I had never seen the trunk lip liner before and absolutely love it. Did you find Ali express shipping was fast? I've ordered there before and my items always took months lol.
I've found the shipping on AliExpress can be very hit and miss. Some things will come in days and other things take weeks or months. I try and be zen about it and when it comes it comes. Though that mindset doesn't always work. 🤣
Hey Lee thanks for another great video. Can you please advice if you picked the matte or the clear screen protector. Just worried about the viewing angles since that is the only place to consume information. Thanks.
We got the Matte, tempered glass one. We've had no issues with viewing angles with it. My son is quite the bussy body and he often comments on things he sees on the screen from the back seat. So I am guessing it's ok. 🤣
Thanks Mark. A sunshade for the roof was actually one of the things that Jowua are sending me to have a look at. Will be keen to see how it looks. But yes, the look may be a deciding factor for me. 🤣
Hey Lee. Given that you seem to be an Apple tragic too, wondering if you would consider doing a video on how all things Apple integrate with the MY. Particularly the iPhone and Watch. Even any workarounds you may have found to get Apple Music and/or Carplay to work in the Tesla environment. Cheers Mark
That's a good idea for a video. I'll have to do some experimenting and find out how it all works. At the moment I think the only thing I really use that could be counted as "Apple integration" would be sending a location from my phone to the car.
HI, haven't forgotten about this and still looking to do a video about how I use an App called Tessie with the Car, but incase you haven't seem my latest video. Apple Music is now native on the car. Happy days. ☺
Thanks Mark, I actually wasn’t thrilled with the audio on this particular video as the mic peaked a few times. I am really pedantic about my audio. 😂 I tried my best to sort things out in post. I am normally rocking the Sanken COS 11 on most of my videos, but I think on this one I was using the Deity Lav Pro. They are then going into my camera via the Deity BPT-RX wireless system. There is also something to be said about how the mic is mounted/hidden. I’ve spent years testing out different techniques and working out what works best in different situations. Don’t always get it right, but always striving to improve.
They are from a company called flyingeyes. The shipping from the US is pretty pricey. They do have local resellers if you only need their sunnies. flyingeyesoptics.com
I think you can do that in the US. But couldn’t do it from here. Can’t remember why. So they sent them with clear glass and then I got my optometrist here to put glass with my prescription in. I know it sounds like a lot of work. But I’ve been super happy with them. Particularly super comfy with wearing over ear headphones for hours at a time on shoots.
A word for some dirt. For example when I was much younger my mum may spit on a tissue and wipe some schmutz off my face. 🤣 no matter how much I’d prefer she didn’t. 🤣
Seriously? If you are serious, I am happy to do when I have some time, though I may put it on my other channel as I am not sure how many folks on this channel would be all that interested.
@@thewalletauditpodcast Hi, haven't forgotten about this. May be a bit of time, but will try to get that video done for you. But may not be till around Feb 2023.
