I was just thinking about the cybernetic limb thing the other day. Imagine Optimus limbs being used for paraplegic people, controlled remotely by NeuraLink, with the transmissions from the brain being decoded by AI. You can even link NeuraLink with Tesla vehicles, which means that a paraplegic person can walk to a Tesla, unlock/open it with his mind, and input information such as destination with his mind, and FSD can do the rest lol. Crazy world that Elon is creating, and I'm so excited.

There's an anime, Ex-Driver, about an autonomous vehicle society in the near future in Japan. That had some neat ideas that I see Tesla using; central computer, sensors, no steering wheels and pedals. The only thing wrong is that the enforcers and first responders to the vehicles going haywire drives ICE vehicles.

Cars should be designed for easy access that will make it easy for the elderly or disabled to use. The same is true for homes and businesses. All homes should be built to accommodate the elderly and disabled. This will be better for everyone. Large wide doorways and hallways make using a cane, walker or wheel chair much easier. Bathrooms or wet rooms need to have flat floors and no shower hump or pan. A flat floor allows for easy access and drains need to provided. Easy to use lever door and faucet handles are easier for the elderly to grip and open. Main floors should include a master bedroom, restroom, shower, laundry and wide walk in closet with few steps to enter. Homes should be designed with aging in place in mind.

Backward facing is safer in a head on collision. The deceleration force is taken by the back of the seat.

I've been saying since "investor day". 1) Compact/ Cab/ Small van *are the same vehicle* 2) The Small (LOW, wide) car was (is) ROADSTER.... Juat open your eyes!!! . The Reuters "cancelled" car? Roadster. Prototype Line converted to Compact/ Cab due to A) No Mexico and B) FSD almost ready

We can all talk about what self-driving taxis would look like. But don't expect them to ever be a thing. Tesla self-drive is still only an advanced cruise control.

One question what if the Tesla Van is the robotaxi but both are going to be produced on the same track /line ? Then Tesla can both create its own robotaxi version but also sell the Vans separately as cars ?

"Cab" and "Compact" = "Same vehicle" Redefine "Compact" as "Short, space efficient" and you have a "Van" . Take a game console (steering/ pedals) and bolt it at the front of the cabin, you have a "Driven Cab" (The first version?) and a production line that can produce BOTH versions of Compact / Cab at the same time, PLUS the "Van" option (glass delete, add rear doors)

Hans Another one (Lets go there) I know "some" consider this "woke" (misused, hijacked phrase) But from a first principles design perspective a "Cab" MUST be accessible to *all users* (didn't Franz reference that, without "saying it"?) That WOULD include, for instance,, wheelchair access..... Or, a parent with a stroller and a second child? Low floor, wide door, not obstructing the "roll-in" ability. And, the "multiple type" option doesn't work.

I suspect there will be a major brain drain as Tesla insiders leave the company. A while back we were told that the top two companies for engineers were SpaceX and Tesla. Do you think that will continue now that Elon has become a MAGA spokesman? No, it is a major turn off. Franz will leave soon.
