I thought teslas wireless energy hypothetically used one of the following: What some are calling "scaler waves" or the Earth itself as a ground or antenna which was combined with magnetic induction or resonance coils which had their range extended by the Earth being part of the antenna and a 1-3mghz ham radio transmitter as the resonate frequency set at 1,000,000 volts or above just with lower amperage. The idea being a big wire is the planet in his global circuit so it is always able to transmit anywhere on the Earth and not just bounce around the ionosphere to deliver free wireless energy. Tesla also said something about being able to send power directly through the Earth and use it as a resonate antenna because it rings like a bell and has a resonate frequency itself. There is some Swedish inventor whom has been playing with this idea on youtube somewhere saying this is actually creating what Tesla was calling scaler waves which I am not really sure exist but it is fun to play with the idea. Just be careful you do not zap yourself or collapse a building if you do rediscover some of this supposed phenomena. On a side note, I think hiding tesla coils inside flag poles is the coolest thing you can ever do for wireless energy transmission.

There is a court case where Tesla had to defend himself (sadly failed) against the one funding that giant tower of his, he had sent 300 foot poles into the earth (under 120 foot tunnel system) and it states something like he had to "grab the earth" or some such. "In this system that I have invented it is necessary for the machine to get a grip of the earth, otherwise it cannot shake the earth." www.teslascience.org/pages/twp/tunnels.htm

Yea it seems to me the tower at Wardenclyffe had many similarities to the Great Pyramid including the use of ground water and I heard the location was chosen by it's proximity to a Leigh line (magnetic line of the Earth or like one of the lines of a toroidal vortex like in my profile picture. The Schumann resonance is the sound of the Earth's bell. It appears to me that the Great Pyramid used the sound created by cavitating water in a vacuum to resonate with that of the Earth.

That was really interesting. I think that Tesla was a very clever man, but also a little unbalanced. He was not treated very well by his peers and even worse by others, but he truly was a gifted man whose achievements are still underestimated by the science community today. Well done on this video.

Thank you for finally explaining and demonstrating the transfered application of the principle Tesla developed! Not only that, but explaining that there was a reason his units were noisy and as you said sparky, and how they really *could be used to provide municipal power, let alone a power grid for large transit systems, industrial plants, or even make wifi/Bluetooth networks more robust. Just, thank you for getting it understandable.

Except everyone would get RF burns all day long, the amount of energy received would be minuscule compared to the amount of energy generated, animals, from worms to cattle would leave the area, and folks would start dying of cancer at an alarming rate, so except for that and a few other things. Tesla's wireless energy machine was just a low-frequency, high-power radio transmitter, and the energy receivers were just large tuned circuits. In other words, 1 stage TRF radio receivers with large, resonant, high Q loop antennas. That's why, after a hundred years of advancements in electronics technology, your power still comes in on wires.

I saw this a while ago, and was very impressed that Your video is one of few on Tesla, that is informed by understanding of electrical theory. I am re-impressed. I am wondering how carefully You have tuned primary and secondary. I noticed that although most modern Tesla coils use very long secondaries (builders believing that turns ratio is the only criteria for output voltage), Tesla used broader and squatter secondaries and huge diameter primaries, ,... perhaps so that primary and secondary inductance could more easily be matched to a coupled capacitance , capacity between the earth (ground), and the sphere or toroid, at the top . In my experiments with small tesla coils with perfectly matching coils and capacitors of primary and secondary, with the primary driven by a square wave (100 khz), the voltage at the secondary could be almost 4 times that at the primary. I'm assuming because the secondary waveform would have had alternating spikes that expressed the differential of the sudden transition of steep rise time to the flat peaks of the square waves. I tuned the capacitors for maximum voltage. I have rarely, if ever heard or seen , a specific step by step explanation of what Tesla was doing with his "magnifying transmitter) in terms of a third coil to influence the directional properties, and perhaps modulation of hysteresis??? of the complete device. Would love to see an additional video on Tesla!

I love this field and I love your videos Mr. Carlson you are a master and grateful for you sharing your knowledge and wisdom on all the topics you cover. @ethanpoole3443

It is actually a light shutter that creates the effect. You rotate the shutter to either allow as much light as possible through (as it is in this video) or towards the other extreme to block the light, or anywhere in between. Essentially it divides the circle into six sectors, and each half of the shutter has three of those sectors solidly filled, when the filled sectors overlap one another you have maximum light (as the top shutter is aligned with the bottom), when they are set to oppose each other very little light will get through as all six sectors are essentially blacked out. This allowed for a bright indicator by day and a dim indicator by night simply by adjusting the shutter position according to one's preference.

actually, Paul was demonstrating "inductive coupling". Where one inductor "couples" with another because of a "field." of energy. Think of the field a lodestone pits out (i.e. magnet). Transformers work this way, hence an "isolation transformer" works without directly connecting to the source.

Back in 1971 when serving in the US Army stationed over in Vietnam, I worked in a landline secure teletype facility as an operator. Part of our jobs involved tuning the teletype machines so they would perform properly. This involved a tuning fork with a sort of mechanical eye, two pieces of steel that nearly meet at the center of the fork. When the fork was struck, and you looked at the spindle on the electric motor that ran the teletype machine, the three white dots on the spinning spindle would appear to stop if the motor was running properly, if not there was a way to adjust the motor speed to the proper RPM so the machine typed the right letters when a signal was received from the remote mate some hundreds of miles away. Soldiers do get bored, even in a combat zone, and they do begin to play around with their equipment, so it was that we did use the forks as you say, putting a still one next to a ringing one to see if they would begin to ring as well, of course they did. Each machine had it's own fork, but they were all the same, and one fork could be used to tune all 8 machines we had online at one time. Fun stuff this learning experience.

Paul, that's quite an eclectic collection of equipment in the "lab" background at the start (and end) of your video! And the oscillator you used in this particular video is absolutely beautifully built! But although you referred to its output as very low ("peanut power"), you never mentioned even a ballpark figure of its capability. It looks rather robust, so I'm guessing it would be somewhere in the range of perhaps 25 to 200 watts, but I'd have liked to hear you mention some approximate figure, just to satisfy your viewers' curiosity... And I was surprised to hear how you pronounce the word "audible," which you spoke more than once in your video. You made it sound as if it had four syllables, like: "au-di-a-ble" (which is how it would sound if it were spelled that way: "audiable"). But it's actually spelled with just one "a" ("audible"), and has only three syllables: "au-di-ble." Of course, it does intuitively seem as if it should have that second "a," making the last part of the word "able," since the word basically means "able to be heard." But in our English language, that would be the incorrect spelling (and pronunciation). Your video is pretty professional-looking, so I expect you would like it to sound professional, too. Keep up the interesting work!

Thanks Mr Carlson! Great video and explanation of the Tesla was working on at Wardenclyffe before his funding was shut off. Ive found a few references to articles about his work, that the few times he cranked up the system at Wardenclyffe for testing, they heard the arcing noise noise all the way across the Long Island Sound! I can't imagine what the efficiency was of the thing, but it must have been very low, in the single or low double digits, total transfer? There were also a few other articles about work he was doing someplace out in the mid west when he cranked up some test systems, and people in the small town hear his RF coils walking down the streets were getting shocks walking down the sidewalk. I can image people walking to drop off a letter in a mailbox and getting zapped touching the mailbox door. I could not find any newspaper articles, though, maybe the archives were not digitized yet from the era. Someone must have complained about it!

Every radio transmitter and receiver do essentially the same thing. If you are close enough to a high power AM transmitter, you can build your own tuned receiver coil and get "free energy" from that transmitter.

I would love to see more on this subject. Maybe even a full how to Build breakdown and how to tune the frequencies And focus it to specific resonances . also how to harmonically oscillate between the frequencies in the same way as the musical notes in a chord interact to form a perfect harmonic pitch.and vibratory effect .

Great Video, I enjoyed this more with the explanation of how they work. I even prefer it over the lighting bolts others are making. Thank you

Thank you Mr. Carlson for your RU-vid video titled: Tesla Coil Wireless Energy and Resonance Demonstration. Would an upgraded, finely tuned modern day version of Nikola Tesla's wireless transmission of electricity have the same, have less, or have more electric field radiation compared to the electric field radiation produced by modern day high voltage power-lines?

Love the Klipsch Forte speaker. Do the magnets on the drivers react to the Resonance?
