Tesla Cybertruck's Rapid Progress Comes at an Unacceptable Cost

Now let's talk about Tesla cost of ramping the Cybertruck production. As I have mentioned in one of my earlier reports Tesla Cybertruck ramp is impressive, but now I am learning that it comes at a cost. I hope Tesla is able to clean up these issues and have this vehicle eventually recognized as a good-quality product. There is a lot of interesting new tech there that will be great to see in future Tesla vehicle programs. Learn about Tesla Cybertruck production's quality issues.
Tesla is having issues with its early Cybertruck units, which is not something completely unusual for a new vehicle program.
Now, I like the Cybertruck and have seen in personally in Charlotte Tesla Center. Some of you may remember my video report on that. And it is fairly normal for any vehicle program, from any automaker, to have issues early in the production process, but I think it’s also fair to say that Tesla, due to its nature, has more issues.
In my opinion, Cybertruck's build quality issues highlighted here are completely unacceptable at any price point, never mind this price point The fact that Tesla acknowledges the issues and yet is willing be allow the vehicles to leave the factory and be delivered to customers is unforgivable.

The door gap is due to the Latch having moved (it’s a 10 minute fix), anyone with a wrench/screw driver could probably save a trip to the shop. The water protesters are sociopaths, apparently.

Hopefully, Tesla can continue to improve their production quality and find ways to minimize water usage in all their facilities.

Front door 'ajar' was a trivial issue, not a great look but any *man* could tighten the loose door open plunger.

Thanks for your comment! While a loose door plunger might be an easy fix, it's concerning that these issues are happening with brand new, expensive vehicles. A loose door could be a safety hazard or create wind noise, and it's frustrating for the customer to have to fix it themselves. Especially since Tesla seems to be aware of these quality control problems.

Relax! New is a learning zone in life. I remember your earlier ramping up of pod sessions! We didn’t say “unacceptable” as you were learning along with your family!

The Austin factory is built on the industrial area of Austin. Specifically because it avoids the Edwards aquifer recharge zone.

Tesla is offering a one month FSD free trial for those purchasing a new Tesla vehicle. I think this will eventually extend to those existing owners of Tesla vehicles without FSD. I understand your point about teething issues. New car models often have some initial problems that get ironed out later. However, the concern here is the nature of these problems. Complete vehicle failures and significant quality control issues are a bit more serious than minor adjustments.

Oh calm down dude. Seems like every time a telsa gets a flat tire everyone loses their shit. IT WAS A LOOSE DOOR LATCH THAT ONLY AFFECTED A HANDFUL OF TRUCKS! IT GOT FIXED! MOVE ON WILL YA?
