My 13 year old daughter asked to look through my old CD collection tonight to see if there was something she might like. I came across my Tesla Greatest Hits CD and my eyes lit up. I told her she’d like these guys and I put this song on. All I had to do was play Gettin’ Betters prelude and the first few seconds after it kicks in and she got excited and said, “Yeah, I like it.” She grabbed it an ran off to her room to listen to it. Proud Papa!
It's an awesome feeling when we can pass on the music we grew up on loving...tesla is one of the best. I'm 16 years older than my baby sister. I introduced her to tesla. She loves them to this day.
Seems like anything named Tesla doesn’t get the respect it deserves. The legendary inventor, the most innovative car company, and the most underrated rock band in history. What an awesome band
They definitely were, but they were extremely underrated and overshadowed by hairspray bands with little substance. These guys broke big with Love Song, but they had so many great songs before that but were always overlooked by MTV because their videos didn't have half-naked chicks rolling around on the ground.
This first album really grabbed me it was classic like the 70s bands totally , no hair spray no machines no fake recording true rock n roll Tesla kick butt🤘🤘🤘
They were poised to become the next big thing. MTV would play the song “Sign” form the acoustic record constantly. Then grunge came along and killed all the 80’s hard rock bands.
They had a clean, hard rock sound with the blue collar vibe. This was their best years when this song was recorded. Little Suzi,..The Way It Is, Song and emotion, What You Give, ect. They got a little muddled over the years with their sound, trying to get heavier maybe but they have always been a great band.
When I was stuck in the hospital for 5 1/2 weeks in the hospital, I heard this song play. I am diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and felt very depressed and not wanting to fight anymore. I heard this song, and after 7 yrs I'm still fighting and trying to stay positive. Come on Tesla! Bring it on!
I have never heard this song before, but I tell you I suffer of a chronic very painfull condition and this just made my day!! And I too will get so much better this year! I think this song should somehow be used for the sick, to cheer them up, for healing also, it is very positive :)
Lets do it. Music is the spirit evolving to a higher wider stronger eternal inifinate plane.god sleeps.and so do we. Cross the divide.light as love as light.VIBES AND GOOD WISHES
@@chrisdoucet2836 Thank you friend! A little, but it is a chronic condition. Somehow I have to learn to live with this. I guess the most important thing in the end is to have love in your heart, and to be who you really are, and never betray yourself, never. My best regards, and God bless all of you who read this comment, thank you for your words.
This is going to be my theme song. I am tired of shit bringing me down. I just let destroy my soul. I need to change my scene. 😏 I am doing it. My priorities have definitely changed. Thanks for the song. Great meaning.
One of the greatest bands ever. Glad I saw them here in Boston early 2000s with all original members. I hope this song title holds true each day I wake up. Peace.
I've been listening to them since I was 13, and Mechanical Resonance came out. 48 now, and going to see them in May, and introduce my 20 year old son to one of their concerts! It never gets old for me! Keep the music coming guys!!!
Saw them twice, both as opening acts: 1987 for Def Leppard on the Hysteria Tour and 2010 for Queensryche on the American Soldier Tour. Great both times, of course. It was very touching how they did an all-acoustic treatment of "Love Song," and we all joined Jeff Keith in singing "Love will find a way." It was beautiful.
Not only a great band, but 2 of rocks best guitarists. These guys are exceptional. This is hair band music with soul. Good message, always gets my chin up.
I saw These Awesome Dudes at the Salem Armory in Oregon back in '88 - '89.. (I'll have to check my Ticket Stubs).. remember those?🤦♂️🤷♂️ I still get goosebumps & feel like I can Fly when I listen to you guys. Rock On!!
Tesla has survived the years... hell, almost all 80's and early 90's music is the best ever produced... I know I'll take knocks for this but I stand by it... Even my all time favorite, Scorpions had their best sound from late 79 through the 90s. Still love the old farts to this day... and I am now one of the old fsrts but I ROCK!
I was lucky enough to spend two or three days hanging out with the drummer from this band around 1987 or 86, during a ski trip. My dad was dating his mom at the time. Really cool guy, we never even talked about music. Just played video games, had fun skiing and we'll there's a lot more to the story but I'll be typing another five minutes if I go into it.
The band that "escaped" my listening enjoyable for years, and I still don't know why. Tesla is simply fantastic, a pleasure to hear, and today, at 69, I can't get enough. Rock on Tesla!! 🤟
Playing a lot of small venues currently, saw them at a casino in Iowa last week and going to see them again next week! Still sound amazing and the smaller venues are simply awesome - even though they can still definitely play stadiums! Tesla is a top 10 band for me
I’m going to see them in July. ! I can’t wait !!!!! I grew up listening to Tesla. I will always love them . So many great songs , I know the words to most of them 🤣🤣💕
How many years later...Still asking the question(s)?!?!?! Well, I am still kicking and screaming for something better and unfortunately, getting the same results. Perhaps, we need more...ROCK, I am tired of the facade.
I've loved tesla forever and I've loved this song and I've never seen this. I didn't realize it's directed to the blue collar workers of the world and this makes it even more amazing. So true now. Blue collar workers can live such good lives now. I'm blue collar and I have a big house with a pool and TWO corvettes in the garage. I make twice the salary than by boss LOL.
Man, you guys turned me on to Nikola Tesla and you will always be at the top of my list! I still remember all the great times. So blessed to still be here and still, Gettin' Better! -Cheers!
Always will make me think of my old friend Tess Bode and her brother Bo.....so many years have passed by and I think of her every time I hear Tesla.... loved her and Miss her so much
Epic tune and epic band of the us GenXers. right when i heard them back in day brand new, I knew they would be around a long time. still rockin this on 11 at 54 years young! btw my fav drummer right here. huge sound and grooves. a little odd time too! ow!
I have every album of these guys ! They are Great Rock and Roll Legends !!! They have so many Rock and Roll Anthem Songs 🎵 !!!! I've been listening to TESLA for 4 decades and they should be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ,to say the least !!! TESLA !!!❤ LONG LIVE THEIR ROCK AND ROLL !°!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
when i was 16 during desert storm i called into our local radio station to request a song for a soldier (my cousin) and this was my song. It meant a lot to a bunch of them and always for me.
Best of the best BANDS EVER! I''ve known and been a fan since my brother used to kick it and and jam with Brian Wheat ! I do have lots of favorite songs, by Tesla...but this is one of my all time favorites!1😊💝
Best oldschool motivation song ^ .. All that rain outside my window, it goes on and on, I know It's gettin' better every day Soon the sun will shine outside my window, when it's gonna come No I really, I couldn't say No no no no no no, it's gettin' better every day - thank you Can you hear it? Oh, it's gettin' better now, every day, yeah yeah yeah yeah I'm a hard workin' man, doin' all that I can, tryin' to make ends meet Just a-makin' my way through the jungle today, it's gettin' the best of me But it's only gettin' better, and a change is gonna come my way Yes it's only gettin' better, better every day, aha yeah I've been changin' the scene, if you know what I mean Good things are comin' my way And now I'm livin' my life, and I try doin' it right Sun shinin' every day Well it's only gettin' better, and a change is gonna come my way Yes it's only gettin' better, better every day Now it's only gettin' better, and a change is gonna come my way Yes it's only so much better, oh, gettin' better every day, yeah I can feel it, feel it gettin' better, whoa, day and night I feel it, feel it gettin' better every day Gettin' better, it's gettin' better, it's gettin' better
So, I've been to the Tesla concert in Rio. I knew Tesla from my brother (who was also there) and it was a very very pleasant surprise. I sure hope Tesla returns for a full concert. They had an amazing energy and stage presence. I strongly recommend to everyone who gets a chance to check them out live, to do so.
I have tickets for my family to see the show in a few weeks. It was only $100.00 for each person at a great venue. Great show and worth $400.00 for sure.
I'm a Sactown native - that alone is enough of a reason to love Tesla, but there's so many more reasons. In an age where hair bands were all the rage, and the glam was becoming more important than the music (and it was getting ridiculous), Tesla came along with straightforward, hard drivin, gritty rock 'n roll. And it was awesome. And still is
This reminds me of JANI the girl i fell in love with at summer camp in the summer of 89. Our lives were amazing. If i couldve bottled up that feeling id be a billionaire. JANI died in a car accident in 2015. She was my friend to the end.
I was in high school and saw this video on headbangers ball on MTV back then and was an instant fan I told all my friends about Tesla and how great they were (still are) What I loved most about Tesla was no makeup, leather, etc just great musicians making great music.
