Love the way this set looks, I don't know why. You are one of the only channels on youtube that seems to post these old communist sets, but I really love them a lot since I am a tv nerd. Over here in America tv sets became disposable while communist ones were made to be worked on and fixed
I think a lot of TVs from the USA, were also good quality. But some of these communist sets were very easy to work on. They had all sort of ways to make it easy to fix. But there were a lot of ones that were bad quality, and hard to fix. Like some Romanian sets and the Russian Elektronika c430 But it's very sad to see when people throw working things out. A lot of these things still work when they end up in a landfill.
@@easterntech1533 We had a lot of great TVs yes, many advanced features, but when transistors took over from tubes, it became unservicable, many cant even be opened. Yeah the portable or mini TVs seem to have trouble with repair and quality at times, while excelling other times. It is tragic when they are thrown away though, esspecually communist era sets. Those come from countries that dont exist anymore, and were often only made for those countries, so with each one trashed, the number goes down.
@@parzivalthewanderer9687 a lot of Junosts are getting scrapped for example, but the numbers never go down. They made so many of Junost 402Bc and BC-2 's that they just never get lost to time
@@easterntech1533 Indeed, they were cheap and easy to get and make, and that was the point. Get a TV and you can watch propaganda. Its a shame too, those are the only ones I see pop up on Ebay and it usually is priced over 100 USD. I know from a friend in Latvia this old technology goes for nothing there. I need to plan a trip!
