The mid spec Seal is cheaper in Australia with an 80kwh+ battery and 230kw motor. Also has the blade LFP battery and cell to body architecture.

Yeah, up to your opinion. But many will still look on which reliability is good based on between BMW and Tesla, so prefer still choose BMW. And not to forget, maintenance for BMW is not that expensive to maintain than Tesla

If you look at ludicrous feed's review of the BYD seal (400L of trunk space), the dimensions of the trunk are near identical to the Model 3's. I think the quote 590L of space is including the underfloor storage (BYD Seal hasn't added that into their figure) and possibly the frunk

Nope. Smooth as silk. You know those horizontal grooves in carpark ramps? You only hear dull and muted tyre noise. It is very quiet.

To me, since I'm using Google Map, it is fine if I decide later to buy a Tesla since Tesla is using Google data/map. If Proton can do that, I have no other problem left with Proton.

@@thelazydire Im malaysian chinese hahaha, nah that's not that im trying to glaze, if you look into their EV manufacturing techniques, ofc not through mainstream medias, you will know in EV manufacturing, Germans and Japanese are way behind, i mean they can still make EVs but at a very high cost and will not be as cost optimized. But for ICE cars, i still think Germans and Japanese are ahead of the game though

You are not wrong. But a lot of people are still stuck in an old place. Just as we wouldn't buy anything that wasn't made in Japan in the past, it takes a while for some people to recognise that China is leading the world in EVs, bar Tesla.

A good percentage of parts and raw materials in a Shanghai built Tesla are Chinese origin, case in point the batteries which IP is Chinese. It's also vital to acknowledge Chinese manufacturing and QC input which people gloss over. Us made Teslas never really cought on around the world for a reason. Hard to imagine what Tesla would be had they never partnered with the Chinese.

Max available resolution for this video is 1080p@50 Hz refresh rate. Paul Tan's should have made higher resolutions available. Some of us do watch YT on a TV screen. Higher res is always welcomed.

Same shoe with you. Decided to go for Juniper when you already know new model is coming within a year. Though decision, especially you know luxury tax is coming next year and uncertain price hike. It’s a 2020 model Y, I would say just wait for a few months.

@@familyfam6131 but the thing is, we can’t confirm it will be 2024 or 2025. China has small facelift for current model Y. 2022 I was waiting for CX5 facelift for 1 year plus, I guess I don’t want to bet on when juniper will be arriving.

@@LianJim China version model Y was labeled as model gap updates to catch up with model 3 highland. I think most of potential model y buyers are waiting for this Juniper after highland released. Mazda really slow on this facelift, other countries already got it like 2years, bermaz baru nak bring in next year. But for model Y budget, you can have CX50(2024?)or discontinued model CX8. If can’t wait then you can go for current Model Y for greater value and price.

On the contrary, mechanical maintenance only consist of tyre balancing, suspension alignment, wiper fluid change, brake fluid change (not very often thanks to regen braking) and perodic health check of the cabin filter. Air conditioning uses a heat pump and that is practically maintenance free unless the pump fails which need replacement. A note on heat pump vs conventional compressor system for air conditioning; heat pump does not use refrigerant to cool the cabin air (or warm it for colder climate, hence heat pump). I forgot the details of how it actually works but I do remember it does not use any form of refrigerant or gas to cool the air. Something like condensation or simple heat transfer process like maybe how AHU system in buildings. Software update is done online and if it ever glitches, long press the scroll button on the steering wheel to reboot.

@@batulaut true, pros n cons. i can't get over unnecessary motorized door handle, motorized aircon vents, indicator buttons that turn with steering wheel. Ironically cost can be lowered further with conventional door handles.

Roundabout? When you enter the roundabout, depending on the exit, you will have to switch your signal twice. It can be a deal breaker depending on the angle of the steering wheel. Though, I don't really care and you'll probably get used to it quickly.

Far more range, with same batteries and motor and only slight improvement in drag coefficient, which really only comes into play at higher speeds. I will wait for the road tests before believing this.

At least from what was shown on the video, I believe Hafriz was driving pretty sedately on fairly sparse roads. It was pretty easy to achieve 13.8kWh per 100 km efficiency figures on such conditions. My Atto 3 regularly gets to 13.5kWh/100km mark on similar conditions. Mind you, Atto 3 is an SUV with much higher Cd (.29 if I'm not mistaken). The figure jumps to 16 ~ 17kWh/100km if I start doing a lot of overtaking manoeuvres. He needs to do more varied driving styles before coming to a conclusion.
