Tesla Model 3 Performance VS C6 Z06 (FBO) 

That thing from a dig would be very hard to beat on the street. Great runs guys.

The great thing about a tesla is that they are fast where it makes sense. Most people race from digs or from low rolls. Alot of cars would catch the tesla on the big end but idk about you but doing 130+ on normal streets all the time just sounds like a way to go to jail.

I ran a model 3 dual motor long range in my stock 01 Z06 with a passenger, a full load of groceries and in 111° heat from a dead stop and I actually got a better start. He came past at 60 mph and kept pulling til 100. He put a car and a half on me. I thought that was pretty good. In cooler weather with no extra weight that would be a locked race. The long range model 3 is slower to 60 but from about 50+ mph it's the same as the performance model. Probably why I stayed ahead of him thru first gear and only fell behind at 60+

Recently saw dyno video of 2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance showing 523 WHP. The HP and torque are nearly instant. That makes more sense than the official Tesla number of 450 HP based on how it performs against other similar HP cars. I bought a Model 3 Performance and sold my CLS63 AMG with 600-625 HP. For driving under 100 MPH the Model 3 is hands down the more fun car to have unless you want to spend over $150K for a car. For over 100 MPH the AMG has unending toque and power and more fun. Given I only have the opportunity to drive above 100 MPH 0.01% of the time, the Tesla made more sense to me. Have yet to come across an ICE car challenger that has beat my Model 3. They are either simply just too slow off the line and/or can't put the HP down onto the road. I know they are out there and I will get smoked one day, but having fun trying to find one. Only drove the Tesla for about a month before I sold the AMG. When I drove the AMG again to drop it off it felt so sluggish and slow. Could never to go back to the AMG. Best of both worlds would be the Tesla Paid with 1020 HP. I drove one and it is simply a beast both under or over 100. Brutal acceleration. But over 2x the price of Model 3. Was sad to see the AMG go. Really liked that car but we're coming to the end of an era. Also the Model 3 exhaust note doesn't sound nearly as good as the AMG's. :p

Are you sure that vette is full bolt on? My friends LS7 made 510whp with only a cam & exhaust. Now that he's full bolt on, he's over 600whp+

The C6 should of launched at around 3k rpm. I'm seeing a lot of drag races where the ICE car will launch from idle. Very little point launching at idle from a dig.

My C5Z stock with a 75 shot at 415 whp runs exactly the same as that C6Z against a Model 3 P so I'm not sure where that 518whp figure came from. Plus they don't make 518 whp with headers and intake. A friend of mine has one with a cam and ported heads that made 550 on his dyno, same dyno my 75 shot C5Z made 415. 518 is way out of the question for just bolt ons. My C5Z bone stock with no mods trapped 144 in the 1/2 mile and a Model 3 P that was there did 137.

As a muscle car owner, we gotta respect that a stock Tesla is competing with a FBO Z06 that pushing anywhere from 6-650+ horsepower. It’ll be a scary day when Tesla owners are able to mod their cars 😵‍💫

I keep looking up videos and am waiting on my M3P to arrive. I have a long range AWD with the acceleration boost right now. A guy I was talking to this weekend has a C8R and I told him I was doubtful I could hang with it in a 2023 MP3...feeling like it would be a better race then I thought
