I have spent one summer season road tripping/camping in my M3 without removing the rear seats. I think this year it’ll be revolutionary!!! 😍

Removing this makes the motor whine so much louder which sounds amazing. Highly recommend removing if you don't use your rear seats. Also weighs 14lbs so it also makes your car slightly quicker as well!

Thank you! I needed to briefly remove the rear seat to retrieve the middle seat buckle that had some how fallen through! You directions were clear and easy to follow, and got straight to the point. The only thing I would add is that the two latches "pop" back into place so that when returning the bench, you do not need to (nor can you) flip the latches back toward the passenger side. You just align the two bench latch connector pieces back to its "home" and it snaps back in.

On my 2017 Honda CR-V, there is a mechanism that pulls up the rear seats before the lumbar collapses. It creates a flush space and is very convenient for interior cleaning.

Great video just got done using this trick to have a great camping experience. 👋🏻👋🏻 For all who are having issues lining the belts back up run your seatbelts through the holes while the bench is sitting in place wire up the connectors and use the seat belts to guide the latches back through the seat. Hope that helps!

+Alex Venz I love the black and white interior of your Tesla Model 3! If I were to get one like yours, I would personally go for the cream interior configured with room for 6 (possibly 7), but this would be very helpful to add more cargo space. Personally, I don't know why Tesla decided with the seven-seat configuration in the Model X to put the extra seat in the middle row instead of putting it in the rear row. When I was 14 going on a road trip to Yellowstone in the summer of 2010, my family and a couple of friends rented a 2008-2009 Dodge/Ford SUV in red that had room for seven and it put the seventh seat in the rear row and I quite enjoyed that. A friend of mine in my ward has a minivan that was very similar from around 1997 that also had room for seven, but put the bench in the rear row. By the way, both of those SUVs were ICE SUVs

@seanf5634
@seanf5634 Год назад
Just an FYI, this method won't work on the 2022 model 3. There are latches that need to be pulled which releases the seat--one latch on each side. Second, the wiring is two connectors on the driver side in the same location in this video. There is no wiring on the passenger side back seat

Is there any word on this voiding any types of warranty? We're doing a road trip and I wanna do this so the seats fold flat to the rear trunk floor
@AlexVenz

I don't see why this would void any aspect of the warranty... Just make sure the foam blocks protecting the electrical connections stay in place and maybe put something down to protect the seat backs from bolts and stuff.
