The issue was you not putting your hand on the wheel...not the road type. It just needs to feel torque. That was what the flashing blue was for and messages saying to put your hands on the wheel.
Supercharging starts to slow down after 80% state of charge so the charge time to 80% would be much less than 90%. Probably more like 30 minutes instead of 50 minutes.
Hi, came here looking for solar reviews and found my car! I have this same metallic grey Dual Motor in Atlanta, GA. and already have 60,000 miles on it. I travel between 4 states and It's been flawless, I'll never go back to BMW's again.
Some corrections, after the car got 5% of performance increase it has 360kW of power. 0-100km/h takes 3.4 not 3.2. The AC type 2 does not give you 22kW like the old Tesla Model S with dual chargers, the Model 3 only gets 11kW regardless of which model you buy. The 3D representation of the cars surrounding the vehicle are not generated by the ultrasonic sensors, these can only sense objects that are very close and actually what is giving the information about what (car/bicycle/pedestrian/bus/truck) object is near are the side repeater cameras facing backwards and the cameras facing forward (3 in the front) and two in the B pillars. Regarding the autopilot and the highway, the car did NOT let you take over, YOU took over by pulling too hard on the steering wheel deactivating autopilot. It asked you to hold the steering wheel for like 30s and you never touched it, it starts blinking blue, and at the end where you mention "it let me take over" it gave you an aural warning and you pulled too hard. This is also not the autopilot that comes for free now with the car, the lane change and NoA (navigate on autopilot) is actually part of the FSD (fully self drive) package that costs 6000$.
Hi Mauricio thanks for the updated info. We rushed the filming a little while learning how to use the autopilot and made some mistakes. I will try to add some notes to the video to let those know how it works. Plus some notes on acceleration time and type 2 max AC charge of 11kW. Cheers Jason
@8:16 the Tesla was asking you to confirm your hands are on the wheel. The blue bar starts warning @8:18 and starts flashing faster. @8:31 it beeps an audible warning that it cannot detect your hands on the wheel and you are at risk to disable autopilot. Autopilot is disabled at 8:39 when you grab the wheel there because of the beeping. (Thus indicating you want to take back control). In my experience it all works best to just leave your hands always on the wheel so it can detect that you are still there. I use sport mode and just rest one hand on the wheel and let the Tesla pick my arm up periodically as the resistance. The sport mode prevents the weight of my arm from turning the car. So you don't need to actively do anything really. Just have to provide resistance so Tesla knows you are paying attention.
Hi Steeg, Thanks for the tips. The autopilot filming was a last minute addition and a little rushed. Wish we had more time to get to know all the functions and get used to using the autopilot.
