I think the silver look is absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't paint them at all. It's actually hides the wheel if you paint them. My opinion of course. You can always get a hub cap.

Is it easy to take the center cap off? I’ve heard it’s a pain since you need to take the wheel off and push it out from the back?

I also think the Silver wheel looks great. And these small added caps does a great job. That is if i want to loose my aerodynamics by taking off the large hub caps Tesla puts on the vehicle.

Thanks for the video! My Model Y arrives in a couple of months. I didn't pay too much attention other than not wanting to pay the extra for the other wheels. From the pictures, I thought I was getting steel wheels and some plastic trim. :) I've now seen some Gemini covers that map exactly to the underlying wheel and in black. I'm tempted, if for no other reason than to protect the alloys.

I just wonder if removing that plastic outer cover affects the aerodynamics of the wheel and thus the range of the vehicle.

Do you know what the paint color is for the alloy wheels? I have a bit of curb rash on my Model Y LR and want to repair the damage. Any help out there would be appreciated.

Great Video. Thank you. Tesla in the UK are have been out of these since months. I have bought the hub caps but the nut covers are offered as generic, non Tesla specific, and a choice of nuts of 19mm and 20'mm Not to be confused with the wheel size of 19inches. Can you let me know which size to order.I will be getting the silver ones.
