To anyone who cares about the stats of the drive: it was a total of 6 1/2 hours of charging (390 minutes) and 606.1 kWh charged during this trip. I watched the whole video expecting this information at the end but didn’t get it so I did the math myself 😂 Great Vid!
What I really enjoy about your road trip videos is that you guys actually do stuff along the way like the Kingman museum and all your restaurant stops. Most RU-vidrs road trips are quick stops to charge and then back in the car and go to the next charger. Hopefully the Springfield MO Bucees supercharger will be online soon!
I love watching your videos. Glad I came across them. I want to buy a Tesla in the near future and this makes me happy to see that you can in fact road trip in a Tesla with like no problems. Keep up the videos. I enjoy them.
Wife and I road-tripped our 2022 RWD Model 3 from Indio, CA to Colorado Springs, CO last year. So cool to see you stop at some of the same places we stopped (Holbrook and Milan and Chaco Trading Co!!). Such a cute couple and a fun channel to watch! Thank You!!
Thanks for watching! Holbrook is one of my favorites, like I mentioned idk if we’re always there at the right time or what but the views are always amazing
@@vegasteslafamily My pleasure! Y’all are great, love your content! I live vicariously through y’all, I feel 30 years younger when I watch 🤣🤣🤣. Plus, I got to go all the way from Vegas to Chicago for $9.99!!! 🤣
Dude, that’s so awesome you went to Buccees on the trip, also, consider rather then buying something every stop, get key chains and look for cheaper minimal ones, but has something to do with the road trip. You can get them usually around 5-7, unless it’s something unique, and then you connect them together for the trip. Consider Memphis stop on a chicago road trip, they have the pyramid, Graceland, it’s great stop everyone has to do at least once 🥳 Love the content 🎉
Ps I think, and again just my opinion, forget the Tesla part also it’s cool, and I think the more incredible part is the road trips and memories y’all are creating together, that trumps all other part of your journeys
We collect Christmas ornaments so it’s gonna be an ornament! And yes, we love creating road trip videos to watch them back ourselves for the non-tesla memories too! Thank you
Glad you stopped at a Bucees! My 7 year old niece and I love going there. I have rented two Tesla’s ( trying them out) she wants me to buy one ( working on it) we have a Bucees on I-95 near St Augustine FL and one at I-95 Daytona Beach. Both have Tesla Superchargers- she’s a pro at charging - oh and the Tesla arcade! Love your videos! Seeing the scenery out there is always fun to watch!! Keep it up!
Most of the have superchargers I believe! We love Buc-ee’s, unfortunately there are none close to vegas so they’re only long-distance road trip stops for us. Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed it!!
Thank you! We’ve camped in both the 3 and Y now. I will say, it isn’t that big of a difference sleeping-wise, but 100x easier getting in/out from the trunk in the Y rather than crawling out the backseat in the 3
My wife and I are planning a roundtrip road trip from San Francisco to Seattle, and we're considering sleeping in our car to save money. However, I'm a bit nervous about it. For those who have done this before, where did you stop to sleep overnight? I'd love to follow your recommendations on our trip.
Hey! We were too. The truck stop was awesome. There were a lot of others sleeping in their cars and trucks around us, and of course all the amenities the truck stop had was great. You can look up highly rated ones along your route, they’re all over! Do you guys have a mattress? We were just sent a mattress that I love. Making a video on it tonight. Highly recommend quality one.
Sounds like a great trip! Can't wait for the return trip video! What kind of tint (brand + %) did you get for your MY? did you get it for all the windows? Also, what app are you using for the nice graphics to show your charge stats after charging?
Thank you! We use the iPhone 13 for all filming, and for the microphone half the time in this video. The other mic is the DJI Wireless Mic 2 - it sounds great when you plug it in all the way, which we forgot a number of times in this video 😂
Congrats! We got 6 months of free supercharging when we got our car. It was part of the incentives Tesla was offering on new Model Y purchases at the end of 2023
Do you have Tesla insurance? If so, have you gotten a bill since your trip? My Tesla insurance doubled after our 3k roadtrip and stayed high for six months because of a scam estimated annual mileage algorithm. We would have spent less had we just rented a car for 2 weeks.
It depends on build? Mine is 6yrs old and never had rattles. Only thing making noise, is stuff inside the car, or find something loose (sun visor not clipped, bottle rattling in cupholder, etc) Other folks say they get noises service can't get rid of, varies... the new refreshed Model 3 is a LOT smoother/softer suspension and quieter too, hopefully they can update ModelY also, you should take a second look
Weird my cousin 2021 model y is quiet asf and my dad sister son I believe 2023 model y is quiet asf too since he have the 7 seater I sat in the back it wasn’t bad for me, yes we drove a lot to go places to do stuff wasn’t bad.
@jeffrey8921 Tesla is being investigated for countless deaths due to their "safety " technology. FSD is by far the worst self driving implementation by any car company. Not using LADAR is insane. People lost their lives due to Elmo's lies. Tesla has settled a lot of lawsuits just in regard to deaths. He has been telling lies about FSD since 2014. Tesla is also being investigated for lying to investors. Please do your research before you get into a serious car accident. Elmo is a moron, not a tech genius. Elmo is the new Enron.
