I had a shop offer to do it for $3,000 but I did not want to spend that much. I ended up having ppf installed on my front end only.

When you put hot water at the back of the film, won’t that remove the adhesive?

The adhesive is wet application, it doesn't harm or damage the adhesive for paint protection film. It's very different from what you would see on air release vinyl or calendared vinyl.

in my area, it gets very hot in the summer and I park my Tesla Model 3 in the driveway all day long. Outside temperature is usually around 100 and the interior of the car is at least 130 to 140. If I get PPF installed, will it survive the summer heat like that? Thanks! :)

Shouldn't be a problem as it's rated to handle the same temperatures your vehicle was designed to withstand.

All the PPF films are rated for a few years of constant 60 degree Celsius heat.. I’m not sure what that conversion is in Fahrenheit but I am pretty sure it’s beyond any heat anywhere in the world.
