Small critique of your logic here, but if you use Tesla FSD in your Autonomy comparison then you need to add either $8000 or $100/month to the price of the model Y.

Lmao this was a sweep for the Y. Tied for tech? really? OTA updates slaps the Hyundai and every other vehicle in the market. Performance? On a car that’s not even out yet? While the current models are getting destroyed by the Y. Charging speeds? You really believe the Ioniq 5 will consistently get those charging speeds. The network > The only people who get the ioniq prefers the aesthetics then that’s ok. But I’m sure ppl buy the Hyundai to virtue signal and feel special looking different. While driving an inferior car in every way possible. While owning an iPhone 🤣 Thank you for the very well made video and all your time spent. But this was a sweep.

Don't care which one is faster to 60. They are both ridiculously fast. But the Ioniq 5 has an 800 volt architecture, and it can definitely charge faster than a Model Y. Also, when it comes to price, it should be noted that Hyundai has been giving a $7500 discount for months now, evidently to make up for the price advantage of American made cars, until they can complete their Georgia plant. You can definitely get an Ioniq 5 right now for less than a Model Y, although Tesla is dropping prices, so check day to day. The Ioniq 5 is an awesome car.

@Cleanerwatt 1: The Ionic 5 N is already out and you can buy this Vehicle at select retailers that Has been. Specifically chosen by hyundai themselves. 2: Even though it is not being worked on in the United States, Hyundai does have an autonomy program. It is not available in the United States because of all the regulations that it would have to acquire for it to be passed to be used here in the United States. However, it is being used in Korea as we speak. So that means said, Hyundai does have an autonomy program. And It is very, very good from what I've actually been looking and seen on for the information about. 3: Although Tesla has some significant advantages against Hyundai. We also have to keep in mind. Tesla isn't perfect. Their FSD has had certain issues in the past of running in to vehicles. We need to make sure that we are advising that and showing that Tesla has been working on that. But at the same time, they have had a little bit of flaws. Hyundai, however, has not had any of these issues has not been reported as of now. So we need to keep that aspect in mind.So when we're trying to talk about its autonomy. Even though we're saying Tesla may have actually have the FSD system and it's well advanced.It does have its disadvantages as well so.As far as autonomy right now I would actually give hyundai the edge not Tesla sorry. 4: Unlike Tesla, Hyundai does get good support for its vehicles without out all the weard fine print that Elon keeps throwing at customers to deter them away from Tesla. Speaking on that, there's been a lot of lagging coming from Elon lately. That has been putting the company. And a lot of jeopardy and the shareholders have not been too happy with him. They may have just given him a slight race. But that also means that they are expecting a whole lot of changes. Going forward with making sure that he keeps the company afloat the way he needs to. And the way it was done when he first started the company. So what's also not forgetting about that as well? Sidelighted in the fact that we're not basically looking at the overall picture when it comes to. Down to getting the greatest guarantees for what the customers are actually asking for and what they're expecting. I'm not gonna say that Basie. Hyundai is perfect, but I'm also saying that the company doesn't bring out promises that they can't keep as well. So let's also keep that in mind.

Both meet my needs/wants for horsepower, cargo, range and charging speed. Tesla still has a charging network advantage, but hopefully the 2025 I5 will be able to use the network. Unfortunately, my understanding the superchargers won’t work well with the 800 volt architecture. To really compare the cars I’d have to drive both of them for at least a week, but from my test drive of the Y and driving a friend’s Y, the only thing I liked was the horsepower. I enjoyed driving the I5 more and it has a lot of things the Y doesn’t have. I love the styling on the I5 and I’m neutral on the Y. I know two people who own I5’s and they love them. I have a couple of friends with the model Y and they love them. I don’t see any reason to get weird or angry if somebody chooses one or the other. They both seem like a solid choice to me depending on what you want and how much you are willing to pay. I’ll give the Y a big thumbs up for dog mode, but I’m surprised that they can’t offer more colors for the top selling car in the world. The checklist in this video is a fun intellectual exercise, but I don’t think it’s really how people are going to choose a car. I’m impressed by the changes Hyundai is making on the I5 for 2025. If project Juniper Y, has the same changes as the Model 3, I think I’d be happy enough to get the 2024 Y and save some money.

A tie on features?? The V2L feature and 800w architecture alone limited my search to only E-GMP vehicles. Hyundai has announced a switch to the NACS port and will be making an adapter available in Q1 25. Easy win for the HI5 here on features, imo!

The way tesla calculates the range is different, that is why their number is higher, but the efficiency and actual range is about the same with ioniq 5, maybe even a little less than ioniq 6, so your better EV is not as good as you think, and isn’t a better car should have smoother and comfortable driving experience? I have driven both of these vehicles. Two gripes I had with this video. 1. The fact that you say the Model Y has the option to seat 7 people is a joke! There is zero leg room, not a little, zero. Check out videos of Model Y vehicles that have been rear ended and let me know if you would put your children in the area that occupies the “third row”. 2. The Tesla interior is cheap and horrible. In five years it will have loose parts and squeaks. Not an issue if you trade in and buy a new one every 3-5 years. Also the fact that you have to go through the center screen to do something as common as adjust climate controls is super annoying. Now the Tesla model X has a really nice interior but it’s around $90k. Also the software for the Tesla is fantastic. I wouldn’t buy a Tesla because I keep my vehicles for a minimum of 8-10years and they don’t hold up. Not a bad vehicle but this video is pretty Tesla fan boy-ish

Despite not having a tax credit yet, Hyundai has been offering the same $7500 rebate for the last 8 months or so. Depending on the state you can get a bigger rebate overall ($10k-$13,5k), and least but not last, the ioniq 5 is way cheaper to lease - the residual value for the ioniq is crazy high that’s why you can get it for super cheap - you can’t get model Y on the same price. Specifically if you’re considering taking a lease for 2 years - Hyundai is pushing crazy deals for that at the moment. If you also add 2 years of complimentary charging at EA - there is no comparison with Tesla money-wise. Also I”m surprised you’re talking about ioniq 5n as something coming later this year (in a video published just 2 weeks ago). I believe it’s been widely available at the dealerships for quite some time now, but I assume it could be due to recording/publishing time differences.

Model Y offers camp mode. You can charge while in "camp mode." Towing of Y capacity 3,500. Charging in eastern US mountains is very limited for Ioniq 5. Now that my 2 years of free fast charging is up, charging at fast charger costs 25% more than using my Toyota Sienna per mile.

I currently drive an Ioniq 5 and am waiting for the delivery of a Model 3 Performance. The Ioniq 5 is somewhat undervalued due to its image as a latecomer in the internal combustion engine era of car manufacturing. Since I became an adult, I've owned a total of four cars, and except for my first car, a Honda Civic, I've driven only BMWs. However, when it comes to electric vehicles, German cars need to step up their game. Despite their brand value and the fact that people still buy their cars despite the high prices, if they remain complacent, their reputation won't last long. During the internal combustion engine era, BMWs were worth the money despite their high prices because of their performance and driving pleasure. However, BMW's electric cars do not live up to their price. I hope the BMW I love improves quickly.

Maybe it would have been more better if you mentioned the acceleration boost option to the Long Range which brings down the 0-60 to 4.2 from 4.8. Would have been a more fair comparison in my opinion. That would beat the non-performance Ioniq 5. And just mention that you’ll compare the 2025 Ioniq 5 N with the Model Y Juniper performance. And while neither of them are out, performance wise the Model Y Performance is the current king. But I get where you came from, I just feel like the acceleration boost option should have been considered for the current Model Y Long Range. Thank you for the amazing content!! Not being an engineer you did not address the most important criteria for making a good choice. The quality of Tesla's engineering is second to none. The best example of this is the heating and cooling functions which are essential to trouble free driving with best performance. Like all the OEMS Hyundai does very poorly. There are THREE radiators, and numerous duplication of function for battery, motor and cabin heating/cooling. The faster charging is negated by battery heat and cold gating on longer trips. Not to mention that Tesla charging system is second to none and Hyundai have none. Always look to engineers' reviews before making a choice! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-01lWmPi4cTk.html

Both cars are great EVs but the reality is when talking price there’s no comparison. For Tesla, the price is what you are going to pay once you put the $250 reservation on the website. For the Ioniq 5, you have to factor in the pain of battling with a dealership experience that will literally add hundreds if not thousands to the price of the car. When showing this chart why not compare the out the door price of both cars. Tesla is the clear winner. Having dealt with the dealership experience all my life, buying a Tesla was refreshing. Buying a preowned Ioniq 5 from an individual or (maybe CARMAX) would be the only way to go to get the car at a reasonable price.
@unitedwestand56
@unitedwestand56 3 месяца назад
As a buyer, you just need to deal with the dealerships from the position of power and to make them understand that they want to sell you the car more than you want to buy it. This method has never failed me, including when we bought our Ioniq 5 a few months ago. I will admit it was a more tedious experience when compared to buying our Tesla, but at the end the price discount we negotiated with the dealership was something we would never be able to achieve with Tesla.
