Hi Mike. I don't have any stock in Lucid, but I did buy one. Ironically, I sold all my stock in Tesla (at a 45% loss) to pay for it. Having leased Teslas and now driving a Lucid, I believe it was totally worth it...the Lucid is much easier and more fun to drive than a Tesla and is much better engineered. Lucid and Tesla are actually very close cousins, more than any other EVs. Lucid's CEO, Peter Rawlinson, was Tesla's Vice President and Chief Engineer while they developed the Model S (according to SEC paperwork filed by Tesla). Unfortunately, while Musk pays big bucks to hire the best engineers, then often ignores them, which is why Rawlinson had to leave Tesla to build the supercar the Model S should've been. Another example of Musk blowing off his engineers...his best guys begged him not to remove all ultrasonic sensors from all Teslas...at least not until Tesla cameras could be made to duplicate ultrasonic sensor capabilities. Tesla's finally released a first attempt...but it's not yet as fast, accurate or reliable as the original ultrasonic sensors that Musk ordered removed. I'm also waiting for Musk to put some form of radar back in Tesla's...what was he thinking?! And dang it...put the horn back in the center of the steering wheel like every other production car on the planet. Like you promised last year.

Hi Staroceanxxx. I negotiated the price for my 2022 Grand Air Touring with Lucid. Paid the same amount I would've spent on a Tesla Model S Plaid. Like I told r1|56me above, my Lucid totally beats the Model S in driver ergonomics, incredible situational awareness and comfort...in addition to it's 500+ mile EPA range. My gosh, my Lucid uses 32 onboard sensors, including long range Lidar, short-range radar, surround view monitoring cameras, a front multifunction camera, rear view camera and a gaggle of ultrasonic sensors. I can really experience the difference, especially in bad weather.

Actually saw a Lucid parked. It looks like an Oldsmobile.

Any EV owner knows their real-world range is less...often much less than their EPA "range" due to driving conditions, temperature and weather. The South Korean government sued Tesla over cold weather cutting their stated range almost in half. All EV's have this issue, but that's exactly why Tesla should've offered a 500 mile EPA range option. But they don't, so I bought a Lucid which does have a 500+ range. Fantastic car!!! I've leased the Model 3 and Model X in the past. Lucid totally beats them in driver ergonomics, situational awareness and comfort...in addition to the 500+ mile EPA range. I'm still mad at Tesla that they refuse to offer similar capabilities, even as high-priced options.

EV trucks for the working class are a complete failure don't forget.

​@@mikeroll8515I think they might in future. But scale is the game. I think Lucid looks nice. Scaling to profit is their problem. If they can't do that and fail, then your investment might be difficult to service and hence to onward sell.

Toyota has some of the lowest quality trucks out there flimsy frames and not putting in the R&D work in to stay competitive in the truck market. Ford as a private company was on top because it didn't get influenced by globalist cults like Extinction Rebellion and the Royal morons of the UK. With this interference Cadillac is not allowed to develop new engines and Cadillac is out of business because Cadillac is middle class and the Royal family deemed the middle class uneasily part of society. King Ranch will be pulling old internal combustion Cadillac trucks out of the junkyard just to get livestock to the market. The new Ford trucks are on fire and getting recalled. It's time to put on trial anyone involved in these ESG reports put them in jail and fine them and shun them as hard as possible.

I remember last year when Hurricane Ian hit Florida and knocked out the power. I didn't see a single EV on the road.

You can say that again!!! 🎉. First Road Trip of 1,500 miles cost me $132, would have cost me double that to go from DFW - NOLA…nevermind that I went to MS, ARK, MO & back to DFW all for that $132! And would have been just $104 had I realized ARK Hotel had FREE CHARGING!!!

No apartment in my area have charging cables.

Yup it does feel great to charge from the garage. Thinking should I add another charger in my garage because I have a model s and wifey has a model y.

And then there is locations to fix if needed…Rivian (Chi & Atl), Lucid not sure… Tesla 2 locations in my area Dallas & FortWorth!

They have not wanted to subsidize Tesla who has more chargers than any 2 or 3 groups combined! And more 250’s & 350’s…and they WORK. UNLIKE EA, EV Go, ChargePoint and others.

And in TX State will pay $150-$20pK per Charger for other Co through VWGate Fees…but they won’t pay $30K for Tesla which is so much more reliable creating the only real network out there!!

Tesla is the alternative charging model that defies the MUST argument. Further, since Tesla has deployed charging it becomes clear that other brands need to be subsidised whereas Tesla does not (per the view of Elon Musk on subsidy). Hence doing it better can be profitable and it then becomes clear who is BETTER across the board.

That clearly the case and arguably most journeys are 1 or 2 people. But most people want to be able to do family trips etc and want to be able to rely on reaching chargers. For that 250 miles is pretty much standard. I guess Car pools and eventually robotaxis are other options.

Tesla is losing share to everyone. When you start with 100% of the market, there is nowhere else to go when competitors come to market. Who cares about market share, the numbers they are shipping are going up year over year, market share loss or not. This is just an example of more media people talking who don't really know what they are talking about.

Which explains why Tesla is ignored in this. How can you comment on EB without covering Tesla??
