The biggest problem is that retail investors don't have enough money to invest into anything so if I could I would be buying tons of Tesla stock as well but I have no money to spend on anything and I'm living on food stamps to survive.

Why do people perceive other electric car companies as competitors to Tesla? Tesla has adopted an open patent structure to inspire others to replicate and manufacture electric cars. Rather than viewing other electric car companies as rivals, Tesla considers them collaborators. This is because Tesla alone cannot produce the necessary volume of vehicles to replace those powered by internal combustion engines.

A 19% rise on a 7% upward increase in expected deliveries? I don't think that is the sole reason. It's part of the story, but I think deployed energy doubling is more important. Helps investors see that Tesla isn't just a car maker.
Since FSD needs to reach level 5 autonomy for Robotaxis & they've been stuck on level 2 for a decade, I don't think he's going to have to worry about it any time soon
@@mervstash3692 That really depends on whether Elon is in the ballpark of correct when he says they need 6 billion miles to solve autonomy. They have 1 billion in the can and according to the inflection point on the miles driven curve, I expect they will reach 6 billion within 2 more years (especially since 2020 every single Tesla 3/Y has the fsd computer built in running in shadow mode so they are no longer compute constrained). They'll still have to figure out how to send the cars out to be charged, what kind of tires, how to pilot robotaxis remotely that malfunction, etc., etc... In my estimation, fully autonomous robotaxis will be about 4 years late, which is only 6 years from now.

Amazing TSLA activity. I checked early on July 2nd and the stock was up +30 points! Closed at almost 22 points up. On July 3rd, up over 15 points. I think finally some people are getting it. I think the stock will see another big spike post 8-8 too. May rise before then too. Either way, exciting times, and I've heard great things about FSD 12.4!
Hey Steven I am a machine learning engineer, however i would not consider myself an expert on teslas FSD. I would like to hear your opinion in a video of how they can solve FSD? The software is good but still makes mistakes however driving these mistakes out requires more and more data since the software is already fed an enourmous amout of data. It is also not a given that new edge cases cant result from this, keeping them in an endless loop to drive the edge cases out. We will have to see if brute forcing with compute and data will be enough but I dont think so. You can already see signs from this. V12 initially was much better than v11 but it is hard to improve the software now without spawning other problems. It get better in some areas and in others it goes backwards

I think we missed something here. The stock didn’t surge because of the 1% deliveries beat. It surged because the financials will reflect the extra 33g they sold, plus all the profit and revenue from energy. That’s still not priced in and I can’t wait to see the stock price on Jan 24th…
It’s generally not “investors”, it’s the large investment firms that own millions of shares of a company. Small changes in value of that company means large changes in the value of their holdings. They are carry sensitive to short term changes in price. They are why craziness happens in the stock market.

@@mervstash3692 From what reliable sources do you get your information? If that were actually true, then why are the delivery numbers so much higher than the production numbers? Could it be that there are holding lots for vehicles sold but not yet delivered, as well as vehicles ordered & produced but then cancelled? You need to show some actual proof that affordable secondhand Teslas cannot be sold, especially if you say it's pretty well know. If it's true, then prove it and tell us why they may not be selling. Otherwise, you are just spewing FUD.

No need to make so many if you have a stock pile sitting around and the demand is less. Where did I get the info from? Elon, Tesla, the decline in EV sales figures across all brands, all the visual verification of all the shipping ports across the planet as well as the car parks that have been rented out & so on. Pretty hard to dispute the horses mouth when they legally have to present those figures. Don't know if you have been living under a rock this year, but the entire EV industry is on a downward trajectory. As much as 50% of EV buyers are going back to ICE or Hybrids etc when it came time for a new car in many countries. Re the 2nd hand cars, go on any major car sales platform and search for 2nd hand Tesla's in any country they ship to. There are thousands upon thousands. Many have been listed for 2-3 years. No one wants to buy a 2nd hand Tesla when the prices have been dropped so low due to falling sales, that it's cheaper than a used Tesla. Add into that the hundreds of thousands being sold by the rental companies. I mean this with all due respect mate, but if you live in a bubble and only consume the content made for that bubble, then you may as well be a flat earther.

Imagine what pundits will say if Tesla decides to keep huge numbers of its new vehicle to build a robotaxi fleet it will own itself. Sell Tesla. Demand problems! They can't sell their inventory!
Tesla is keeping all of its model 3 off lease cars and holding them. However, they won’t start producing Gen 3 unboxed cars until FSD is RoboTaxi ready. So they will move all of them from inventory to the fleet as soon as they are produced. So there won’t be any inventory of them. Obviously, media can say anything but one quarter report will put that to sleep. But there will be other things they can attack, if they want to continue with their agenda.
SMR - i understand your idea of breaking out pure Electric comparison-- but also believe BYD hybrids ok to integrate into data. Why - as you always state regarding overall sales and not select region. It’s the same, at end of day it’s BYD vs Tesla - does not matter how China markets or creates junk. It’s still the bottomline, especially since we hold thesis Tesla will dominate into 2030. Metric is Tesla dominance against any car with electricity power source as primary driver. Think EV to EV is sweet data, although goal is all electric and hybrid dominance. Just an opinion and don’t really care about BYD, beyond Tesla beating them and all other car makers. Gordon Johnson "analyst" still has $23.53 price target on TSLA. His average of all recommendations are down 6.6%. In other words cash under the bed outperforms his recommendations.
I think that they will have a robotaxi with a human in it and only charge the cost of the driver to undercut Uber. This will build up the network and give them the information they need to run the network and also give them more data for full self-driving.
The most noteworthy stock at the moment is WBA (Wallgreens Boots Alliance). This stock is currently seen at an absurdly low price level, corresponding to its historical low point. I don't think the opportunity to buy it at this price will come again for decades to come. I think this is the 'ridiculously good opportunity' that Charlie Munger spoke of. Good opportunities don't come often. Good opportunities sometimes only come once in a lifetime. Wba's sales are still high, and it appears that it has recently realized net profit. I think we are still building a solid foundation.``
