Tesoro Cutlass On The River In Heavy Iron Finds Hammered Coin

It was really interesting today going out with the Cutlass and the 7' concentric coil. I went back to the spot I hunted with my Rapier 2 using the DD coil. It became obvious very quickly that the concentric coil was outperforming the DD coils.
You will see that the sheer amount of iron over the surface is crazy, the last thing I expected to find was a lovely silver hammered coin.
I've always said, if you're digging non-ferrous targets and understanding your machine the treasure will appear. If you enjoy digging metal then it's a win win situation.

Just found your channel and very impressed. When I was detecting 15 years ago I always found the Tesoro machines were incredible on heavily iron infested sites and you are proving they still are

The hammered coin is awesome Paul but the effort did not go unnoticed with me. That is tough hunting to say the least, well done. Also, I would love to know the path that hammered coin took over hundreds of years to land it on the foreshore cloaked under a layer of iron.

I really love your content. I want to restart metal detecting after a break of 10 years. Still got my old Vaquero, was thinking about buying something "newer". But your videos tell me it still seems to be a good detector, even without all the bells and whistles other machines provide. Keep up the good work, mate.

If I'm not mistaking that older Cutlass has the D-90 discriminate circuitry like my original Tesoro El Dorado. Searching around iron laden areas I keep the discrimination on 0-mininum and pick out the non-ferrous signals from the Sea of Ferrous which Tesoro's are great at. Congrats on the hammered silver!

Tesoro's are great for discriminating out iron and still finding good targets. Too bad they went out of business back in 2018.

Nice one on finding that Paul. I'da said it yesterday, only I'd got myself kicked off YT for twenty-four hours. I suggested to a certain, "Suthun Genamun", that a white stick and blinkers would better suit his needs. And that his myopic understanding of "things" was matched only by his being a corpulent onanist..... But yeh man, good on you for showing what it takes to be the real deal and shaming the onanists out there.
