Great vid ! Love Tesoro. Had and have other high end digital detectors but fell in love with Tesoro.Bought my first one 2 years ago, a Bandido 2 second hand for 50 Euro and fell in love with this brand. I used the Bandido 2 together with the Fischer Goldbug dp and the 23 year old detector found stuff that the fisher couldn't detect. Now i own this one, a Tigershark and a Lobo Super Traq and because of this good review i also bought a Tejon. My good finds went up when i started to use the Tesoro's and it's not only luck. You can't go wrong with Tesoro.
Good job ! ! Both are excellent metal detectors and also in Italy where the soil is high mineralised they are considered great tools. I sold last year my Tejon and I am now repented : today I have decided to order the black Vaquero with 8x11 RDS and 5.75 widescan coils . I can not stay away from Tesoro metal detectors .
Still watching your videos to remind me how operate my vaquero, my simplex has taken the stage of late, but I find myself reaching for my tesoro again more and more.
Tried a lot , get back to a Tesoro every time. Without any doubt they are all extremely effective coin , jewelry and relic beepingsticks. And most fun to use.
A very fair and challenging comparison. You have a great test bed, especially that quarter surrounded by four iron nails! I started out with the Vaq also, but I traded up to the Tejon because I really like the dual disc and the all metal on the trigger. I do plan on getting another Vaq because I miss it's lightness, also to save time on coil changes by carrying the Tejon with a large coil and the Vaq with one of the 5.75's when I hunt.
great vid ,as always very informative , clear , and patiently explained . could not ask for more . keep up the good work , you help a lot of people to choose the "right one " thank you . best regards from europe .
scannerguy1968 Would be great , Meanwhile i am trying my equinox but to be honest, i do not like it as much as i did / do like my tesoro,s The fun factor and the efficiency level is just in no way comparable with a tesoro detector .. Not knocking the equinox here, Just really like the raw detection sessions with a tesoro Take care
I was wandering which machine to buy,i bought a Vaquero, for 250 Euro.(Tejon was 450 Euro Second Hand both) And from this video i see that i have made wright decision.Thank you for the good comparison.
Nice comparison. I'd like to see you compare the newer 11 inch DD coil to the concentric you have now on these machines. I think the DD helps me in my ground but I definitely have more mineralization than you.
First off i'ld like to thank you for your vlogs. They've been very helpful, and in my opinion the proof is in the pudding with your test bed. I have a question after recently viewing a video of the Umax with the new widescan/DD coil switched in place of the factory concentric. The vidoe states that you get more depth out of the Umax with it. I've always been sold on the depth you get out of a vaquero, but with the Umax fitted with the widescan coil and it's capabilities of notching out trash would you still lean towards the vaquero being your little engine that could or be willing to take another look at the Umax fitted with the DD? Thanks again.
Great review . i just brought the laser trident 2 extreme . which i,m hoping is better than both of these babies . We in uk got tired of waiting for Cazador ,so Dave at Pentecnics built the best hybrid he could think of . Also picked up the mars tiger DD coil for it ,one of my favourite coils . i would have thought the Tejon with rear mounted batteries would have been more comfortable to swing . i dont mind a little extra weight if it improves balance of machine .
Hello thanks for the reviews been very helpful, have you ever reviewed the Makro multi Kruzer? If not do you have any thoughts on them? Thanks again for the time and effort you put into these reviews!
No I haven't. May gett a Hold of one. I do have the Nokta impact ready to test. Id go with the Nokta even though they are brothers. Seems better to me.
Do you have a local metal detecting club??? I bet you could get plenty of volunteers to try their detectors in you test garden. Nice job making your videos !!!
hey sir i just watched your video awesome great test now how about water detecting streams creeks beaches we don't have much for coastal beaches in tennessee are they any detectors that can be used in or near water not submersible but i thought about hitting some of the streams around here thanks justin
Love Tesoro's I have the Compadre my first detector I just wish they had at least 2 tone, 3-4 would be better. Not really interested in those new machines with 40 or more different tones far to many.
Now it’s clear why now these devices are not used in Russia. 11 inches is not serious, at the moment we are dominated by e-track, ctx3030, deus and equinox
Yes, that's true. But the thing is, most of the models you mentioned are in a completely different much higher class of machines, computerized, with LCD displays, and cost much more than the basic manual analog and no display Tesoro Vaquero at $450US or Tejon at $550US are here, when they where new and still available from the factory. Tesoro is out of business for over a year now. The E-Track costs $1500US, CTX3030 $2500US, Deus $1200US, Equinox 600 at $650US, and 800 at $900US.
You are correct. I'm going to take that advice. Thats probably why my wife looks like she doesn't care what I say. Sick of me yaaking so long. But it's hard to cram all the info in sometimes. But should be able to cut them down and get to the point.
