I encourage viewers to watch their All That Skate version of this performance, which is so much more vibrant and alive. The enthusiastic and cheering crowd in All That Skate clearly appreciates them and Tessa is on fire. You could tell that, unshackled by rules, they had a great time and danced this at top speed and with an infinite amount of swagger and swish. I believe it was in South Korea.
The one with the British commentator saying it was making him "hot under the collar." LOL It does really show that these two bring something truly special and unique beyond technical excellence.
I think this was shortly after her month being back on ice after her surgery. I think Tessa was unsure if she would be able to last without significant pain.
first time ive ever seen them so anything incorrectly but bro this is amazing those 2 are amazing did u see how tessa got up after the mistake damn theyre good i love u 2
of course not their best SD of the season but, damn, he's the only one in the whole world that can be so MANly on his skates. The others are trying to imitate the latin beat but they all seem quite ridiculous.
I adore these 2. Even when recovering from surgery they are smoother & skate closer than any other couple. I just cannot understand how London can be considered, “Western”, Ontario!?! I live an 8 hour drive from the Manitoba Border & barely consider myself “Western”, Ontario.
@charskateful Tessa hardly ever slips but I agree, they are so in tune with each other that the 2nd and 3rd twizzles were exactly in synch. I also liked the lift in the slow section and the old ending. These two are my favourites (but I do think Meryl and Charlie are outstanding this season too along with Weaver and Poje's FD)
wow...i could feel the blasé atmosphere of the crowd from here, no wonder it wasnt their best skate ever - there was next to no audience and the ones that were there seemed to be on life support...ive watched MANY other vids of these two and you can see that Scott for sure feeds off the audience...maybe they should think about cutting the prices of tickets in half? i've heard they're very expensive...
Thanks heaps for uploading! Hmm... I wonder why they changed the lift- to put a new one at the end. Points? Have to say I liked the lift in the slow section, but that said anything they do is just fabulous! Even Tess's 'slip' - proves they're human after all :-). Love too how Scott holds his edge for her to get back with him for the 2nd twizzle; classy!
I feel like their fire was missing even before Tessa's slip. This is usually where they really shine, with these sensual dances. I'm always pulled right in. But this time I didn't feel it. Not to say that it wasn't great, because they're so talented, but comparing it to previous competitions, something was off.
I hope she'll change the dress to something that reflects the fun in the samba section and the sensual and sophisticated mood of the rumba. I think the cut and design of last year's gold dress would fit that.
There is no way that London is located in WESTERN Ontario! Thunder Bay, Dryden, & Kenora are in Western Ontario! 8, 4, & 2 hours away from the Manitoba border!
I see Tessa falling or actually slipping for the first time... And the only time and I've seen most of their performances. She is simply the best thing this sport has ever seen. And Scott is an ass for being mad when he has fallen so many times yet she laughs and hugs him when he does...
From what I understand, it's always the job of the male ice dancer or the male pair skater to reset the twizzle or the side-by-side pair spin, respectively, if the female partner gets out of sync.
Oh you’re right he totally says up, I was a synchro skater for 1/3 of my life and we were taught by the sports psychologist to yell up if someone looked like they were going down, I had totally forgotten. Thanks! It obviously works!
@@luckkarma19 I think he says "Time". I don't think he's pissed; he's taking charge to help his partner. He's holding his edge and waits for her. I'd guess Tessa was grateful. I would have been. Help me out of this. He does. Thank you. That's what partners do. I think he thought super fast on his feet. But Scott is the best.
You would never know they won Olympic gold in Vancouver two years earlier based on that sloppy performance. I've seen Scott fall twice, but never Tessa.
@yolande aydemir As of February 2021, Scott is the Head Coach and Managing Director of the Ontario campus of the Ice Academy of Montreal (I.A.M.). He coaches Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko, who just won a Bronze medal in ice dancing at the 2022 European Skating Championship in Tallin, Estonia. The Canadian team Nikolas Wamsteeker and Hales Sales are Scott's students too. He's also the co-owner of Moir's Skate Shop in Ontario.
