I own 2019 Aprilia rs4 125cc for 2yrs now and I’m so happy about this little beauty it’s cheap to run, looks nice handles nice and still can do 70 mph easily !!!!
I had the yamaha for a year and I loved it. It took me to college and work through all weather and I passed my mod 1 and 2 on it. Then in the summer I went on a capping trip in the south west with my mate. So really the bike does it all.
@@JDMz i believe a fully build 50cc as for example malossi team racing kit 80 kills the 125cc 4 stroke unrestricted on a 400-600m only then on 6th gear the 125 win
The best thing about the old 2-strokes is you could derestrict it while still on your CBT and I knew nobody that got caught, but on these things you're stuck with that weedy power output.
I got myself And rs4125 about two years Ago and the thing just falls to pieces. thats when it doesnt blow over in the wind because of the useless stand.
HELP! I need a faster bike for Uni as i will be doing dual carriageway riding and aswell as inner city riding. I currently have a Honda cbf 125 and will be doing my A1 this following year. The CBFs lovely but will only cruise at 60 and that doesn't fill me with confidence as i fear it will harm the engine if its done on a long trip. What 125cc would be best considering speed and the fact in 6ft 2inch. Any suggestions or advice?
To be honest that's one of the best things about two strokes. Is their insane powerband. It's like saying you'd rather have a non turbo car over a turbo'd one.
I'm not into all these 4 stroke 125 'Sport' bikes, much rather just get myself a 05-08 4 stroke supermoto, probably slightly slower but I'd save loads of money and I'll be doing my test soon after! Win - Win.
Man this motorcycles look so cool. i wish they would sell them in the US i'm stuck between the ninja and the cbr, they're pretty cool but i like the aprilia rs4 125 more than any of the 250s.
im 5'10,.do you think this bike fit for me,.and im 23 years old,.2 and half years experience of riding,.will i get bored of thos cbr?,.i ride 110cc motorcycle,.thanks in advance
@@Kyrpptic your correct my mistake lol. One big issue that 85mph takes forever to get to and I'm pretty sure that it's not good for your engine lol. Sounds terrible sitting at 10.500 rpm
It is what it is. The Honda is the best to learn on so if u get a 125 then u have Prob passed your cbt. U need to know what u r doing before getting a fast bike. The Honda does have good build quality. Mine is a 2008 that sits outside. No rust. Hope this helps?
when it comes to looks, sporty sex appeal, Yamaha is king. the R1, R6, even that little R125 are just gorgeous. I would bet most buyers in this class would pick the Yamaha.
Amplified Gamer what idiot moans about not having a metal petrol tank??? That's a good thing and if you think the rejues (i can't spell) are nice then wait till you can get on an aprilia.
Yamaha's built quality is really impressive, I remmember when I had Suzuki GSXR 600 SRAD for a year and I thought it was real good, then I got a year older 99 R6 and the difference in build quality was immense, yamaha is impresive.
I just bought a yzf r125 last week. thats the yamaha if you didnt know. and i loooove it... its a 2009 and its just fantastic. i bought mine for about 1800 pounds, or well actually 20 000 swedish crowns because i live in sweden.... lol
Well yeah, but there are people that are more worried about it's consume and the money that you spend repairing, than the power at all. I must admit 4 strokes are slow. But with 300 euros you can upgrade to 184cc and you can't compare to the r125 original power. It gets a good boost I'm talking about the yamaha yzf r125 btw, aftermarket stuff come from Itally so it's expensive. Idk about the others
at last the rs4. first im a bit sad the dont produce the 2 stroke anymore because it was the best 125cc bike for bikers wo wanna have fun) but ok. the rs4 has the best forks and spring leg (?) and the best breaks. it looks pretty cool and the engine is ok. it also offers most to the customer, a speedshifter bigger tieres (what is important for 16 years old guys^^) and it only has 1 seat (maybe a special edition) but u only need one, its a bike for 1person who knows what he/she wants and can do
I Have A Rieju Rs2 50, And Max Speed On Mine is 63mph Flat And Other Then That I Think It's The Best 50cc About Its A Sick Bike, Great Bike For A 16 Year Old Bigginer My First Ever Time On A Bike Was This I've Been Riddin 5 Months And Im Doing Great On It. Rieju All The Way;))
Theres a major point missed out... the aprilia rs125 can be set up with a power blade giving it around 29bph giving it a top speed of around 105-110mph. I owned a 2003 model aprilia with a 34mm carb etc and to be honest it pulled to about 119mph and 0-60mph took around 6.8 seconds when running sweet. Aprilia wins hands down
i have an rs4 125 and its the best looking of the bunch, who cares if the other bikes are a tiny bit faster, the rs4 will get you more ladies and compliments then the rest, which in my opinion is more important.
Would have been good to see a CBF 125 or YBR 125 in there as well to see the difference between the budget commuters and these bikes that are nearly double their price
+Crazy Tubex ::: Sadly these are all 4T, but Aprilia does offer a 2T version of the bike that has nearly all the same kit. And you can get aftermarket parts to get he HP into the same, or more ball park. ;)
Sigh.. the Honda NSR125, Cagiva Mito 125, Yamaha TZR125, Suzuki RG125 and the Aprillia RS125 are by far more fun. My little Honda NSR 80 did a true 125 km/h so if you want the speed and a little maintenance stick to two-strokes.
I got rieju and I have tried aprilia and yamaha but I think rieju is the best one. It's fastest no doubt about that. That guy said that it's handling is shocking but that's not true, it's solid and good enough if you're not driving on track and why the fuck would you? It's cheapest and it's not mainstream. I mean everyone always compliments it how good looking it is and everything. So I think you should buy rieju, it really got the best quality-price ratio :)
Becouse the RS series are the most popular 125 motorbikes among beginners. So why is that ? RS are quite simmilar to 4 strokes in how they behave in terms of speed and gas consuimption when downpowered. But as you get used to the downpowered bike you can unlock its true potential only by changing the exhaust system jumping form 15hp to 30 hp.And thats what makes an RS so special,it literally grows with the rider.(IF you are allowed to upgrade it in your country)
I own a derbi GPR 125 and four stroke 125 have tried to pull away from me but not been able to and iv shot away from bikes such as Yamaha R125 and aprilia RS4 125. So love me derbi 😊
Not disagreeing Mike Pearce. I had a derestricted Honda NSR 125 as my first bike and what a bike it was and own a yamaha YZ125 MX bike so yehh 2 stroke 125s have more power but not the looks of the four strokes these days 😉.
it kinda is, just only in some countries i realized that germany for example got a different system then denmark where i live, but all countries have a 125 cc max class, which makes my comment valid for the question.
The Aprilia is slow? Of course! You tested the RS4! The RS 2 stroke it's the best: it's marvelous designed, the quality is very good, and espacelly, it's fast as a thunder... Also, the Yamaha yzf it's a good choice, but the Aprilia RS it's absolutely the real winner.
Wow, brand new? My 2004 CBR 125 decided to give up on life and die sadly, the garage never told me what broke by they did say the engine had seized. Picked up a 2010 YZF-R125 for £2900 with 800 miles on it.
im stuck on what bike I want I really want the aprilia rs4 125 but also want the Yamaha yzf r125 can I have some opinions on what you think of both bikes anyone
it depens, if you want speed over 70 mph and can go for little highways, get one of these, but if you want a bike for going just across city and way more comfortable get a supermoto. But with such a little cc you won't do weelies or stunts. The only way would be with the clutch but if you do weelies with the clutch, you will break the engine... Choose the one you want.
GratUp98 I agree, with you on the highway part, these buffer the wind at the speed so much better, but the supermoto is the most fun thing, you can go on trails with hybrid tires.
Im 6 foot 1. I want to go fast but I also want to be able to go off roading when in bored. In live in the countryside but I will be moving to a city in 6 months. Im thinking a 4 stroke supermoto like a Wr125x as it does about 75 flat and relaible and good fun.
Supermoto with hybrid tires or a adventure touring bike with hybrid tires definitely. I changed my mind from a naked bike to a supermoto because I found that half of the riding I want to do will be off road as well.
On the track, a 120kph 4-stroke and a 150kph 2-stroke is a BIG difference. On a daily basis, however, on public roads, you can't go over 110 ANYWHERE, so it's ridiculous to get a 2-stroke for daily use. A 4-stroke consumes less, less services needed, the speed is enough for public roads, and sounds like every other 300/650 bike. A 2-stroke, consumes 2 litres more, more services needed, you need to ILLEGALLY open your bike to reach over 120kph AND the bike sounds like an electric toothbrush.
A 4stroke is still a motorcycle. If you don't have full license you will have to wait 2 years, and get the license for higher cc. Motorbike price? They aren't that expensive if used before bought. Buy the license? You can pay it on 12-24 times in many Driving schools, and a 4Stroke motorbike consumes way less than a 2 stroke, and it doesn't breaks your pistons every 5000 miles.
30Kmh isn't a big deal on a 600cc. But I am purely talking about 125's. And for 125's the engine just has to be two stroke. 30Kmh is a lot at that sort of class. If my bike does 120 Kmh and yours only does 90Kmh then that's a 33% speed increase over your bike. Now if we're talking 200kmh and another at 230kmh Then that's only a 15% speed increase. Just under half that at what I said at the start. So yeah. I care.
From my perspective NO,its just not the RS that it used to be (subjective opinion). If you really want an sport 4 stroke bike,go with the R125.But if you want the real 125 experience get an rs125 2003-2010,or cagiva mito 525/7speed.
My old AR125 I had in the nineties, although looking dated compared to this lot would piss all over them all. MCN done a test with a standard AR125 and it left the YZFR125 for dead. It's a shame two-strokes are dead, only because of stupid emission laws.
