Hadn't watched your channel before, but i really liked the relaxed content and listening to your ideas , in a lovely place, I have subscribed now, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for the sub Mick. I am quite relaxed about it. It started as a sort of video diary but people started subscribing and asking to see stuff. I am more than happy to do video requests (camping related 😂) for subscribers. I am no expert but have picked up a few things over the years. Regards JB.
That Flecktarn pattern is truly camouflage, out of all the patterns on your gear, this one seems to blend in the best. Looked as though you enjoyed your morning in that lovely woodland. When I watch the vids through the year I enjoy the changing seasons , they each have their own charm. Thanks for sharing and stay safe. 🕊
Thanks Mo. It has always been one of my favourites. Works well in most places all year. The Germans started using it towards the end of WW2. The fact that they still do but with a few colour changes says a lot. xx
Looking good JB! There's something oddly satisfying about having all your gear matching. Congratulations on hitting the 1K milestone 👏 All the very best Steve.
Happy new year. Absolutely love the pup tent, got one myself. I've done a few modifications to mine and made a stove to go inside. I'm looking forward to watching more of your adventures in 2021. ATB Dan. 👍👍👍👍
Congratulations! It looks like you've hit the thousand mark. Flecktarn is a really great color and a matching pair of pants will definitely be found in 2021:) Hopefully the new year will be better than the last ... and so there is nothing more to say than Happy New Year and good times ! Atb from Germania Jürgen
I was surprised at the total weight to be honest, considering the canvas tent is so heavy. Can get down to 10kg in the summer, but was very happy with this for winter. 😎
Gotta love someone who takes to the woods by their lonesome when everyone else runs around frantic to organize new year's eve get-toghethers. Best wishes bruv
Good to see you Jim. Glad you are doing well. Nice kit set up and as always fun video for us to enjoy. Happy New Year buddy. Your friend across the pond.
Cool set up, 15KG isn't too bad, that was my weight when I went to Dartmoor inc everything. Nice to see you out mate, and at least it wasn't raining. Happy New Year
I've always been a dpm fan, but got to say ,the flecktarn camo looks the business, really liking the videos, happy new year, safe travels my friend, blessed be,Craig
To be honest ive never paid much attention to that pattern,it works a bloody treat as well. Thanks for sharing man.ill be on the look out for some items now 👀. Take care, hope 2021 is a better one.
Nice one mate! That camo really does fade well into the surroundings from a distance doesn’t it? I’m surprised in a way and close up you can see the contrast but further away, where it matters, it’s pretty damn good! That setup though - I love it! I wonder if I can do that with my 3x3 tarp 🤔 - I’ll give it a go and if it works I’ll make a vid and credit your good self! 😊 Happy New Year to you. I’m feeling really positive about 2021, I’m not sure why 😂 - but I am! Hopefully that will continue and prove to be correct! 😄 Thanks for all the vids this year. Keep ‘em coming! - ATB, Mark 👍
Hi buddy .. yer tarp blended in fantastic... now you see me ..now you don’t .. Happy New year as well .. hope we have a good one soon ... Roll on spring .. cheers Chris & Sam
Quality kit! Those canvas shelters get even heavyer once they soak, then freeze :) I'm sure I have seen you in some flecktarn trousers? Take care, and happy new year!
@@frogmaster83 Then I guess you need to get some :) the ridgeline set up is nice, I am planning to use it for my 3 piece norwegian army tent set up (done a camp in a two piece previously)
Have some Flecktarn clothing, dig the pattern, and made very well. The MVP works well and the stitching of the textiles is better than the US issue lately. Thnx & be safe.
Wow that does blend in well even from a close by area can see the setup is brilliant for it depending how u want to open it up and us I supose depending on wether like in summer have one side fully open and the other side flapped up like a porch roof. Do these come in different sizes like the polish lavvus do Happy new year mate all the best
I'm liking the set up its well stealthy ,me and my friend camp same as you but we use the miltec recon oneman tent, I have a multi cam set up but his tent same as mine is in flektarn and we'll suited for your set up and double skin ,and warm in winter, and low profile shealth tent
@@frogmaster83 you do that they are very stealthy tents, and really strong in storms, and warm in winter and very spacey for a one man tent and I'm 6.2",
@@BourneOutsideThe Germans have used this version since the 80's but the SS was using an early one during WW2 but it was not general issue. Always been a fan of it, but started collecting bits about 2 years ago. It all started with my jacket. When I saw how well it worked it made me start to look for other bits. History of it can be found here. 👍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ndo-Lj-WJII.html
@@frogmaster83 oh lovely, I’ll have a look at that vid. Thank you. You and JT with his knowledge are a great pair to learn military history from 👍🏼 It’s been nice chatting with you this year, JB. I hope 2021 brings you (and everyone) a more pleasant time.
@@frogmaster83 I think the only camo that competes with flecktarn for woodland (not full jungle) is Danish m84 and Finnish m05. Those are basically flecktarn copies designed for slightly luster greener wetter environments....especially the Danish one. The German flecktarn and m05 Finnish stuff look like they would do well in muddy trench warfare too and German flecktarn would probably be better in urban warfare with all the destroyed red bricks used in European housing. Basically flecktarn and its copies rock and look better up close than weird digital stuff
Yeah i love the flectarn also.! I got the bag also and like to see howe u pack it with gear.! I see u get the poncho tent i get a flectarn tent very strong quality 40 euro in holland. I,m gona test it soon sir.! I like the bag for a day bag it,s to small for sleeping bag for that i use the stinger dutch army and i like it!
BTW look for the tent, nearly similar, of the Austrian Bundesheer, much lighter and cheap. Good quality, and not getting soaking wet and heavy when getting wet like a dead cow.....And a tip: go for th original Bundeswehr Kampfrucksack, surplus, much much more stronger, excellent quality also in used conditions, you can use it for centuries - me using one and had to use one during my time in the army.....
Thanks for your input my friend. I only went for the cheap copy of the bag, because I have loads of rucksacks and didn't really need another one. Regards JB.
Excellent setup brotha bombproof love it! I've been looking at these and really like the look.. is yours waterproof or is it treated?? Stay strong&healthy safe&happy!!(=✌💚
They are waterproof, but because they are getting old now its worth treating them again before you use it the 1st time. Little on the heavy side but will put up with most things. Regards JB. 👍😎
@@Canadian_Craftsman It was a gift from a friend and he treated it before he gave it to me. I normally use Nikwax. Its good for at least a couple of years.
The is a few places but this is a reliable site and a good price. Regards JB. www.militarymart.co.uk/products/german-army-flecktarn-tent?_pos=1&_psq=German%20%20tent&_ss=e&_v=1.0
I can, but I will not recommend it yet because I have not used it enough. 👍 Out of stock at my suppler, but you may find it on others using the details. www.military1st.co.uk/30253v-mfh-german-army-rucksack-65l-flecktarn.html
