If you are a semi-competent back yard mechanic you can get a lot out of any 350 for cheap. Plus you get 4 Wheel Independent Suspension, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes and the coolness of a Vette. One pedal too few, tho.

Yes from the factory the vette was not that impressive. Just put in a good cam, intake and carb and yes it'll be a whole new animal!

Still love the plastic fantastic , even the most uncollectable years . With a change in gear ratio , shift kit and some head work , they can be a fun low buck ride 👍

Very much agree. Gears and a shift kit make around town and occasional freeeayfeel much sportier. And a vette chirping 2nd gear should be mandatory. For the record I'm 55. Lol

Spend a few more bucks and get a C5 or C6..I spent 16999 for a 2006 C6 Base manual in very good condition with 83000 mi. Have 115000 on it now and still looks and runs great and 400 hp versus what about 180...A no brainer..(At least for me). PS and everything works.

Definitely needs the electric headlight popper conversion because those vacuum ones from the factory are so slow and problematic

I don't know..I've never had issues with the vacuum assisted parts on my 72. Each car is different in that respect, but all can be made to operate correctly.

Great vette for the price. A few adjustments would bring her up to the next level. Teaching your son that your local law enforcement is your friend is a plus. You might have a day at Maple Motor's just for them to come out and have them greet and meet local teens to help prevent drug abuse and help them to know that all cops are not their enemy and you just might save a life. Love a Chevy and love Maple Motor's. Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving holiday and make some great sales this weekend.

My shop worked on a similiar car. We installed 3.55 gears, shift kit with 2400 b&m converter and crate 290 hp from chevy. Customer purchased engine. Anyway the combo did make the car much more like a nostalgic vette while being a daily driver and mild with zero driveability issues. Recalibrating the qjet carb and hei ign make a world of difference. And we kept it smog legal other than easily adjustable ign timing. (OFFROAD TUNING) LOL

The L82 in 76 and 77 would have had the Turbo 400 and the 77 was the last Corvette to use the 400 trans.

That's a chunk of change for one of arguably the least desirable year c3s. I'd research and shop around before I would jump on it.But I guess it's worth what someone's willing to pay for it in the end. 😂
