Turbo Buicks were pretty expensive for the day. Wish I could afford one back then! GN's were selling north of $20 grand back then which was really something at a time when you could get an LX 5.0 for $12k!!!
I had a friend that had 87 grand national. Oh my God what a ride! That thing was so quick, and when there was less humidity in the air, the faster it took off.
@SteviPantyhose-mt5lm kid? LOL I only wish. My friend in HS had a new GN in high school. He blew the motor within a year by jacking up the boost, running nitrous on top, and running too lean. Yes, he was a trust fund kid. Got a new car every year.
Glad you got to talk to your camera hitter lol would of loved to heard that conversation. These Buick T-Types and Grand Nationals are truly bad ass cars!!
DAAAaaaaaaammmmm!!!! Im with Edgar on this one....just hit the undercarriage shot at 10:00 and she is DRY AS A ROASTED BONE! I would absolutely jump on this beauty. Uncle had a GNX and fell in love with it (age 11) when I rode in it the first time....this isn't a GNX but whomever had this....tried to make as close to one as possible...DAMNED NICE Vette killer!!
I have a 700 wheel 87...DEF three quarter throttle if not full.. boost don't even kick in quarter throttle brother😁 Runs healthy for sure tho Good buy.
Super rare and while yes the moonroof makes it even rarer it is a big headache to deal with and expensive to repair the right way. I have a silver 87 Turbo T limited and the moonroof is a big project I am not looking FWD to tackling. A true WE4 package for the purpose being of lightweight should not have any power options
Wow! Two in one week. Such a cool and respectable car. Listening to the exhaust, you wouldn't expect it to have that kind of grunt. What do you think that would do in the 1/4 mile? Top end? Guessing low 12's? I so hoped you would've stabbed it a few times, Nick. I do like your little chuckles when you do get into the throttle.
Another great car at a great price! These are tomorrow's '69 Chargers and 69' Z28s.. Values are already going up, but wait until the guys from the 1990s kids graduate college. These cars will be worth a fortune. This was dad's dream car in 1990... Go to a car show. Grandpa is drooling over 60s cars, but Dad wants this! Beautiful car! A few flaws, but mostly all original and nearly 40 years old!
Forget tomorrow, these cars sell for a small fortune NOW, LOL. And probably going much higher. The ones that are clean and taken care of are harder and harder to find in good condition, and command a high price......
I almost bought a Grand National in 1987 but got a Camaro IROC-Z with optional 5.7 liter tuned port injected engine instead. The Camaro was sleeker where the Grand National looked a little like a car my grandfather would have bought. It was faster than my IROC-Z but that was about it.
@@-Jason-L This car is a WE4 Turbo T. Buick stopped using the name "T/type" in 86. The 87's were refered to by Buick as Turbo T's, WE4's, Turbo Limiteds, Grand Nationals and of course the super rear and VERY expensive GNX. Hope this helps...
It’s more rare than the Grand National only 1547 ever made and lighter due to aluminum drums and front and rear bumper fillers plus the Astro roof is more rare option plus if the trunk tag has the VD6 and VD7 code even less were made making it even more rare $24,500 is actually affordable for this
