Used to have one of these baby’s! Got it as an early graduation present back in 2006! Man! I miss it!

I just picked up a 99 Tahoe with 185,000 miles a few weeks ago for $2000 from a dealership in my town. Absolutely nothing wrong with it except the front leather seat is torn up and the engine has a slight oil leak but I will just check the fluids every now and then and drive the hell outta it!!

i got a tahoe just like this and i prefer it over my moms 2007 tahoe. i have done alot to mine tho so that might be why. i gave it a 6in lift with 18 in XD series rims and 35in mickey thompson tires and it is a beast in the mud. mine is a sport edition and it has a stock v8 and straight pipes.

Shame they quit making the 2 door version. But america wanted the bigger and more roomier SUV. I would take a 2 door over a 4 door any day.

How much did you guys sell this for? I'm looking at a 96 RED 2 door sport tahoe with 123k miles, 5.7 vortec engine. $3700 He's asking the body is flawless. I'm thinking it's a money maker

@Metruis93 no, average is about 12 around town but that can easily go down to 10 depending on how you drive, best on the freeway is about 17

i got a 97 and from being damn near dry, it's about $130 at $3.27/gal. same size tanks, i'm assuming.

This truck would smoke a mini cooper. We have a 96 Silverado. We raced a blue poostang 5.0. We smoked heavily and left it for dust.

wasnt the 2 door option dropped in 99? pretty sure.. reguardless..i love 2 doors..i want one as my first vehicle.. dad had an 04 and it was a beast... those two generations were some of the last american cars with character and soul in my opinion..hteres just something about the new generation that isint...as homsey..idk looks like we might get a 2010 so ill see then :/

They don't make v6 tahoes. That's what the s10 is for.

Why? It was the stupidest thing they ever did. "I want a big box on wheels to haul things better". And then make it two door so you have to lean the front seats forward to get in the back. I'll give it up on coupes because a lot of coupes are basically two seaters, but there's no SUV that's a two seater except those tiny ones. Even the pickup truck when configured like this had the half door for the rear passengers (If it wasn't a crew cab). If you want two doors, just buy a truck with a topper.

Has anyone ever turned one of these into a pickup?

lol that probably cost $80 in gas. but oh well gotta love chevys
