All off-road and monster truck PS1 games are trash.
Snowflakes, rainbows, dolphins and seaturtles tattoed all over and, most important of all, no damn rock climbing and never enough mud.
Until Test Drive Off-Road 3.
So here you get a bite of the rockiest stage and then the muddiest one on hard difficulty.
How to define a game that basically isn't good but feels good?
Graphics are borderline and the feeling gets worse in the wonky replays, AI is as dumb as it can get, framerate is choppier than chopped salame, most of the sounds gets cutoff'd abruptly for no reason.
But cut my tongue, the driving is fun.
For an arcade game your eyes and hands will get a lot of infos to work on, watch it rev and climb rocks, watch it slide on the snowy halfpipes, watch that tarmac section on the second race.
Someone shoud take BeamNG rock-climbing, that dumb Forza Horizon cross-country racing and mix those with FlatOut/Wreckfest's door-to-door-in-the-mud action and lots of demented track design in fictional exotic locations with variable weather.
Young talented developer, you have a game.
On the technical side this time I've used less general upsampling and 16x more antialiasing, those chubby polygons and grainy textures deserve justice.
