My revolver was made in1942 And I have put many rounds of .32 Smith and West long thru it and I've only had one failure to fire. Oddly the 7.62 ammunition hits high and to the right but the Smith and wesson 32 long hits at the point of aim

Were the 107 yro cartridges loaded with black powder or smokeless, and were the primers the old corrosive type. I have shot my Russian Nagant with new factory loaded nagant cartridges which had zero accuracy. I then reloaded them with a copper clad lead 7.62 wadcutter, and they shot well. So do .32 long lead round nose cartridges, but the brass does bulge slightly. I have found that American factory loaded .32 acp/7.65mm projectiles are undersized @.308 diameter. I reloaded them with .312 projectiles and they were accurate @25 yards in my .32 acp Colt 1903 Pistol and my 7.65mm 1914 Mauser Pistol. The .312 cartridges would not chamber in my 1970 West German Police Walther PP. I might try reolading with the 7.62 wadcutters and see if they work in the Walther accurately @25 yards.

So I guess this proves the Swedish one is safe with smokeless loads? I read they were orginally meant for black powder

They are initially. The thing is the more you fire the more power smokeless load through the less safe they become as the metal and structure of the gun fatigues. It's an any shot could be the last situation.

I've been wanting to do this with my Nagant because the ppu 7.62 ammo I have shoots high and left. But I hear Aguila 32 long shoots just right and I have alot of that for my Smith and wesson. Is there an issue with the forcing cone on the nagant? Could this cause issues? As far as I know the original nagant cartridges fit up inside the barrel before firing so there would be no forcing cone to hit right?

Hammer struck a empty chamber or the cartridge failed .
