Had a great day at the Rancho Murieta tow site; we test flew the Alpha and three new WW Falcon 4's. Two 170's and a 145.
Weather conditions got interesting early...

Try a flatter launch ,you will have better control ,may eliminate the "ripple" that may be incipient stall . Try a platform tow rig also .

Were you towing with a stationary winch or a moving vehicle pay out winch?

We use a stationary winch with a turnaround pulley. This allows the winch operator to have a good view of the pilot during launch.

Try a platform tow w/controllable brake friction , launch flat trim .

We pilots did not subscribe to die in a hang glider. Conversely, I've never been more alive than when I gain altitude and soar above the world, for a rare glorification of my human spirit, and I become very thankful for this opportunity, again..

I'm scared to death of heights, but when I'm on a glider I never feel the fear of heights. It's the strangest thing. I think it's because I can't "fall" if that makes any sense. :)

I have a USA made S3 - 155 and have compared it with the new ones made in Mexico.....I can assure you that the quality and detailing (at least in the sail cut and sewing) seems to have improved quite a bit..... here is a video of my sport 3. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1hzosB6YNbw.html

Thanks Brian. A request please. I started at 22 and stopped flying hang gliders in 1982. Old school and no gauges. I had to start constructing my own house got married and life happened, unfortunately. I'm now retired but LONG for a proper modern hang glider. I weigh now 88kg. Anyone out there that can offer me a glider at a reasonable price as I have to purchase with a bad currency (eg ~20Rand=$1) . With love from Pretoria, South Africa
