No, what you hear is the blow off valve being actuated by a slow frequency PWM wave, it makes it easier for the computer to have a precise control of the intake pressures. It varies the wave duttycycle, and only when the trottle is near 0% that the duttycycle reaches 100% and you hear a continuous discharge, like per example after 1:18
It sounds like a compression release. I've noticed that you only hear it just before the car enters a tight corner. The driver is probably using the compression release to slow the car down prior to the turn. Not entirely sure though, but I did have something like this on an old race bike.
Badly tuned? The noise is all to do with the ALS maintaining boost, yes ok you do hear compressor surge but it doesn't make the compressor run backwards, its the noise of charge air pressurizing backwards because the throttle is shut then being chopped up by the blades.

badly tuned. That blow off sound needs to be a clean whistle, not the pigeon sound you here now. Thats air flowing back into the turbo, wich makes the turbo spin in opposite direction, is gonna ruin the turbocharger
Let's face it ... the 2013 WRc championship belongs to Seb Ogier. No one else wil come close..... But the WRc will still lacks a pace setter like Loeb or McRae.
