Dirt trax if I had an ATV, it would get tons of use. A lot of ride time as well, would you choose a Yamaha Grizzly 700 or a Can Am Outlander 570. I am no mechanic and would appreciate not having to service all the time as there are not many dealers near me. I really need your opinion
i have purchased my first Can Am after more then 5 years of drooling over everyone i seen over here in Australia. it is a 2014 outlander Max 1000 LTD. i would love to see a review on the outlander 1000 Max Ltd as it has a heap more features then the xt-p
my dad owns a can am outlander 1000 limited and it is definitely a great fourwheeler but as a person thats never purchased an atv before and is on a strict budget im thinking about a can am 570 L to start with, im inbetween either than or a yamaha kodiak 450
Funny how the springs are too stiff. The front springs on a regular 570 are so weak, total joke I can see these hunter quad versions would be a good upgrade
we put a moose down about a hour before the sun went down, by the time we got to it, dragged it out of the woods to a spot to clean it it was after dark, in the pit we had 3 atv's shining there headlights so we could try and gut it, that spot light would have come in handy in that situation.
I keep hearing the 570 canam is crap then watch your videos and you rate them as top of the line. Living in Sydney Australia we don't have a big atv culture as you do in North America I am a hunter I owned a 570 Polaris which I loved and gave to my son. What do you think I should do what's atv do you recommend
+Dirt Trax Television did you find ground clearance an issue on this atv ? This topic seems to come up frequently with this particular model .. They say it's advertised 10.5 inches of GC is more like 9.5
If you are a hunter then honda is the way to go. namely the trx500 series. they have a delectable front locker, all the torque you need, and come with a straight rear axle or independent rear suspension. at my hunting camp you will see 85% honda for reliability reasons. every year everything else breaks down when the winter gets wet. i can send you pictures of how i have my honda rigged out for hunting if you would like.
what about the DPS steering shaft that breaks that can am still hasent found a fix for yet ?, Its been 5 months and the 450 and 570 guys were told not to ride there bikes because of possible steering failure who is making there payments and giving the guys a bike to ride in the mean time? Not can am, Its probley taking them this long to get all there china parts made and shipped over to the states , Buy a Honda Suzuki are Cat better products with better service and built right here in the states
mudpuppy is a mud guy and is very smart. he views the atv world differently. he points out a lot of the marketing bs put out by canam. that doesnt make him any less of a good source of knowledge. dirttrax are racers from what i can tell, and don't stress atv's out to the limit of mud guys. they like to ride every atv down trails like they are sport bikes and give their opinion afterword. these types of reviews from my perspective as someone who uses and atv as a work and hunting tool, don't really give me all of the info i am looking for, and to me, don't prove to be much of a test of an atv's capability. i like their show and don't intend that insult. i watch every episode. they just have a different perspective. for the way they use atv's the canam often seem to have the best performance.
