I can see how it would be a lot of fun in the tight woods back east. I still wish that they would offer a 200, the perfect in between.

Only way to ride it is wide open and row that gear shifter. Had my first KTM 125 EXC in 1995, soon figured out it was way lighter and better suspended than my KDX 200's I raced in the past. Been riding them or Husqvarna 125's ever since.

Sorry, I was having trouble putting thoughts together on the trail. I guess what I'm saying is they didn't reinvent the wheel with this. It's smooth, crisp, and slow.

@@mxgryan slow ? Could this be used on single track and technical situations would you say ? Does the bike have any useful bottom to mid power and can it be ridden smoothly and effectively off the pipe ?

I had the oportunity of testing the 2016 ktm 200 exc (carburetor) and i liked a lot, but when i tested out the 2018 ktm 250 xcw (fuel injection) i felt the bike weird idk why, so i still prefer the carburetor ones 😅

(2018 had a carb,not injection) The TPI 300's and 250's tended to make 5 HP less than a carbed version, and have short top end life, and the oil pump gets changed out every 80 hours with the piston................the 2023 is throttle body injection not TPI, goes back to using pre mix oil.

What are you running for fuel ratio? 40:1?

@TantoPoint when I picked my sons 23 125xc they dealer told me 40:1. The manuals aren’t out yet to check, motorex says check manual, previous generations manuals say go by oil manufacturers recommendation.
