also a tip that I prevented stones getting in the steering . Remove the suspension then mount it to the inner most hole on the suspension arm and same with the top,move it in tongue inner most hole on the tower. this will raise the ride height of the car and prevent the stones completely.

The ford gt shell does quite well with this car I upgraded the steering and towing and camber arms and still it loves to track shite stones in the steering are a pain but if u can get a big smooth car park it really goes on 3s

Thought you would say that lol. Oh it does mate. Not even full throttle on 2s there. I absolutely love the thing. Am tinkering with it now gave it a bit moor ground clearance stiffened the shocks slightly trimming body a tiny bit. Getting ready for the 3s run 😂😉. This or QuantumR 1/8th scale? QuantumR is Maverick, so worse quality? But the Maverick is much bigger and cost for me only 217USD. This would cost me around 360USD. Batteries for the Maverick will be much more expensive though. Which would you choose? Cheers
It’s 1/10 bud. Arm i have had one of the lower priced hpi the strada rally car. It was very cheap and not very reliable. The moor expansive one like I have the hpi you see and the hpi wr8 I have. Handle a lot better and are made really well.
I got it for speed runs. Needs a few tweaks. Defo better servo and bush slop out steering, you will need better wheels and tiers. Foams I looked in to. A think it’s Carlson wheels that do the best sets have the same wheel spacing as originals or you will have to use spacers in the rear because they have moor depth in the rear. Out the box it’s set to race on carpet. You will need to adjust ride bight and tune suspension to get it running nice on road.
It’s just a 2s lipo mate. Think it’s 50c 5000mah. If you won’t a good speed run car out of it you need to upgrade the tiers and wheels. It’s set up for carpet or indoor use. I’m putting Carlton foams on mine. They have a front and rear set that has the same off set as the rs4. Loads better! Shim up the steering as well get rid a the slop.
Almost on top of the steering problem. Adjusted the stealing tie rod so trim is center. Then shimmed these wheel hud things out. They had loads a slip in them. I’ll show it in next video. After Xmas though am working loads buddy. Sorry !!!

It’s tough to set the mesh but it needs to be meshed super close I stripped two and havnt stripped one since about 2 years mine has a very tiny gap and spin the spur all the way round and a tight spot you should be good
