So this is a single ended EL84 amp. Ques 1. In a pentode mode? Is there a triode mode in an EL84? Ques 2. I noticed you have a rectifier tube, my guess is an EZ81. Are there advantages using a tube rectifier as compared to a solid state? Thank you.
hi Joey Srmiento this is a single ended EL84 pentode configuration amplifier. In this mode 5W of power is achieved, for the triode mode it achieves something of 1W but requires another bias configuration. The rectification is valved with EZ81, the most noticeable advantage is the slow start, that guaranteed that the valve plate does not receive all the tension at once, extending the useful life. With regard to sound there may be subtle ones but they are minimal.
It's titled "Woman in Love", it's not the Barbara Streisand version, which has to be heard: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qI1WcylNEuY.html
