An amp with a 6AQ5 sounds like a Marshall.....Loved mine.

I have a d-lab 6aq5 amp and i run it through a 12” speaker and it sounds like a marshally champ - it’s awesome! Buy, build or get a d-lab amp. I own many but the d-lab is what i use when i want the real deal. This is a player review. I think the better player you are, the more you’ll appreciate it. It hides nothing. Its the most direct sound of any amp i own and it sounds vintage as all get-out but it’s a brand new amp with 100% reliability.

It's interesting that the 6AQ5 began to flatten the bottom of the wave before going into grid clipping. The 6V6 clipped both sides simultaneously. I'm sure this is due to the bias point being more center biased in the 6V6 amp.
