Strange seeing American alarm systems as they dont have tamper switches (in the U.K. all alarm devices eg panels keypads PIRs etc have little switches that when the cover is lifted it sets the alarm off) also bit shoddy wiring on that door contact, not only did you only use two core you also had the cores exposed?! I would recommend cutting the wire a lot shorter next time
Any help and reply would be greatly appreciated - I'm driving myself crazy trying to program one of the function keys (A,B,C,D) on the HW 6160 Keypad to "arm instant" as an easier method than opening the door and pressing # 7. Best Always.
